I wanted a CAT6 ethernet cable to connect all the devices in my home (which require a stable, good, and reliable network connection), such as servers, media streaming devices, etc. Due to the lack of infrastructure, the cables would be routed through low channels in the wall, very close to outlets, power strips, and electrical cables that were externally running along the wall due to the age of the house. Therefore, I wanted shielded network cables to avoid any interference. Also, due to different needs, I bought all the available lengths.
In the positives:
The price/length ratio is quite good considering it is a shielded CAT6 cable.
The networking is stable and close to the maximum capabilities I want (with a simple tp-link 5-port switch).
The cable, despite being shielded, is very soft and flexible, easily fitting into all the channels along with other cables, and even though there was limited space, it easily took all the necessary turns without causing any difficulties.
Finally, a small detail is the plastic cover on the ethernet clip, which prevents the plastic safety latch from "breaking" if it encounters any resistance for some reason - I loved Nedis for this.
I would prefer it for any other home networking job - or, in short, non-industrial use, let me put it that way (because I would also use it in an internet cafe, company, university installation, for example) and I highly recommend it.
Ήθελα CAT6 καλώδιο ethernet για να συνδέσω όλες τις συσκευές στο σπίτι (που απαιτούν μια σταθερή, καλή και αξιόπιστη δικτύωση), όπως servers, media streaming devices κτλ. Τα καλώδια λόγω έλειψης υποδομής θα δρομολογούνταν μέσα από κανάλια χαμηλά στον τοίχο, πολύ κοντά σε πρίζες, πολύπριζα και ηλεκτρολογικά καλώδια τα οποία λόγω παλαιότητας σπιτιού ήταν εξωτερικά του τοίχου και τον διέτρεχαν κατά μήκος. Επομένως ήθελα καλώδια δικτύου με θωράκιση για να αποφύγω τυχόν παρεμβολές. Επίσης λόγω διαφορετικών αναγκών πήρα όλα τα δυνατά μήκη που υπάρχουν.
Στα θετικά:
Αρκετά καλή η σχέση τιμής/μήκους δεδομένου ότι μιλάμε για CAT6 θωρακισμένο καλώδιο
Η δικτύωση στο επίπεδο που την θέλω εγώ σταθερή και κοντά στα δυνατά μέγιστα (με ένα απλό switch tp-link 5-port)
Το καλώδιο παρότι θωρακισμένο, πάρα πολύ μαλακό και εύκαμπτο, μπήκε εύκολα σε όλα τα κανάλια μαζί με άλλα καλώδια μαζί και ενώ επικρατουσε το αδιαχώρητο εύκολα πήρε όλες τις στροφές που έπρεπε χωρίς να με ζορίσει.
Τέλος, μικρή λεπτομέρεια το πλαστικό κάλυμα στο ethernet-clip το οποίο αποτρέπει από το να "σπάει" η πλαστική ασφάλεια που έχει το clip αν βρει κάπου κόντρα για κάποιο λόγο - αγάπησα Nedis μετά από αυτό.
Εγώ θα το προτιμήσω και για οποιαδήποτε άλλη δουλειά οικιακής δικτύωσης - ή τέλος πάντων μη βιομηχανικής ας το θέσω έτσι (γιατί θα το έβαζα και σε ίντερνετ καφέ, εταιρεία, πανεπιστήμιακη εγκατάσταση π.χ.) και το συστήνω ανεπιφύλακτα.
