The processor definitely doesn't deserve its money. The only thing it can do now is only for basic tasks, with no chance for gaming

Purchased in November 2020 for €75. Excellent purchase for its price. Now at around €150, it's definitely not worth it. The CPU is very good, but the price it's being sold for is excessive.

Very good processor for 80€, it reaches Ryzen 5 2600 performance in gaming and generally reaches Ryzen 5 2600 levels. It's like saying Ryzen 3 3100 and slightly better, worth its money

First of all, let me say that when I bought it, it was at 100 euros and not at 70. Now it is much better value for money, although AMD offers better things at this price. It is good if you consider that you will do logical things with it

From a (long-suffering AMD fanboy from the pre-Ryzen era):

The most powerful (and at the same time affordable, bought for 65 euros) low-budget processor up to 100€. In terms of gaming performance, it matches the Ryzen 5 2600 and only falls behind in multitasking/workstation tasks. I installed it in a friend's low-budget PC and it can handle even new games with some minor compromises (pleasant surprise). As for temperatures, it stays cool with the worn-out Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo and doesn't go above 62-63C in a normal airflow case (Sharkoon Skiller SGC-1 with its 2 Sharkoon fans).

    Composition:
    -Gigabyte B365M H
-2*8GB G.Skill Aegis 3GHz (the motherboard supports up to 2.6GHz and the processor up to 2.4GHz)
-Gigabyte GTX1060 3GB (with fan speed adjustment through MSI Afterburner, it doesn't go above 65C)

Realistically, one of the worst budget options for gaming, where it is supposed to be its strong point. Its motherboard is more expensive than those needed for AMD Ryzen (the equivalent AMD processors can run on a 3-year-old B350 motherboard, which someone can get for 40 euros), with this price difference someone can save money with a Ryzen 3300x (which is better in every aspect and performs good overclocking). Even the Ryzen 3 3100 is better and comes cheaper overall.

Overall, it is an absolutely mediocre product, and the only reason to buy it is if you exclusively want an Intel system.

And a simple comparison between the processors I mentioned:
    Single-core speed:
    Ryzen 3300X > Ryzen 3100 = i3 9100f

Threads (essentially the number of logical cores it has along with the use of multithreading):
    Ryzen 3300X (8) = Ryzen 3100 (8) > i3 9100f (4)

I chose him for the new PC I built piece by piece, given my tight budget and in an effort to achieve a value-for-money build. After 3 months of use, having tested the machine in demanding games such as Witcher III, Far Cry 5, etc., and doing rendering with Pinnacle, as well as multitasking, I can confidently say that it is an awesome processor for its price. It is a giant killer and competes on par with processors that cost four or five times as much. I should mention that I have paired the i3 9100f with a Z390 motherboard to unlock all overclocking capabilities and DDR4 RAM at 3000MHz (Corsair Vengeance LPX). I cannot comment on its compatibility with H310 or B360-365 motherboards, but with the Z390, it's killer. Blindly recommended, guys...

I am an Intel user, so yes, I chose the i3 9100f.
I didn't want to spend a lot of money, coming from an i3 4170, and finally I can open more than 2 applications on my computer.
I play Call Of Duty Modern Warfare on Medium settings and listen to music on YouTube and use Discord at 80 fps in Warzone and over 100 fps in multiplayer with the 1060 3gb Palit!
For me, it's worth it for simple gaming use, so I got it for €77.

Sea of Thieves -> Ultra Settings 60-80 FPS
    Forza 4 -> High - Ultra 60-70 FPS

Guys, this is the best purchase someone could make in combination with the 1660ti. It plays all games comfortably and with high fps. I recommend it to everyone who wants to build a new budget PC for up to 500 euros, because a processor like this helps you invest more money in other things like graphics card, motherboard, RAM, and many more

The worst thing is not worth 4 cores without SMT for 80€. 100% recommended to go with about 20€ more for Ryzen 5 1600af because it has 6 cores and SMT. It is not worth it in games, it lags due to lack of cores.

The best thing about it for its price, combined with the 1650s, it gives 150-300fps in CS:GO, 100-300fps in PUBG Lite, and Minecraft 60-1100fps, surpassing the Ryzen at the same price. The next best value for money gaming CPU is the i7 9700k. It also requires at least a B360 chipset on the motherboard and works perfectly with B365, Z370, and Z390, which allow overclocking on all Intel Core 9th gen CPUs

I chose it because of its low price, for hackintosh mac os, all comple + overclock at 4.2Ghz, if I had a bigger budget I would prefer the i5 or i7 9Gen, maybe in the future... but I believe it is Sufficient and continues with macOS Monterey...

Very good move to remove the graphics card and finally lower the price, Intel. Of course, it doesn't stand without an external graphics card, and at the same price, you can get a 4 core 2200G with a good Vega3, with a -10% decrease in CPU performance. A very good solution if you don't want to go with AMD if you have a graphics card worth over 100 euros. If you want something cheap, entry level, and Intel, it is the only way to go. Pay attention to the motherboard, it requires the new 2018 socket 1151 gen 9. If it suits you, but you have an extra 30 euros, get a 2600 R5 to have 6/12 cores for years ahead and an economical B450 motherboard with future upgrades.

Well, I bought it about two months ago and it runs everything with a 1060 6gb at max settings over 60fps. For its price, it is the best on the market. I can say that in games it is better than an r5 1600x even though it has fewer threads and cores. I have also paired it with a 1660ti and I haven't seen any bottleneck. If you go for a 1070, then you will start to see it being pushed. Its temperature is very satisfactory, especially now in the summer when it reaches 35-40 degrees. I run it with its stock settings. In short, it is worth it, I highly recommend it.

Very good for office applications but also for games. Its temperatures range from 30°C at idle to 65°C under heavy load with the stock Intel cooler. Compared to the previous generation (i3 8100), this one has turbo up to 4.2Ghz (single core), which practically means more fps in games. It is definitely worth its money (~90€) considering its performance, even though it does not have integrated graphics and you will need to buy a separate graphics card. I have paired it with a B360 chipset motherboard (with updated bios) and it has no compatibility issues.

    Ryzen 3300X (8) = Ryzen 3100 (8) > i3 9100f (4)

The best CPU for a low budget PC with a graphics card. It does its job perfectly with a GTX 1650, running everything at ultra 1080p at least 60-50 fps

    --20/5/2020--
Sea of Thieves -> Ultra Settings 60-80 FPS
    Forza 4 -> High - Ultra 60-70 FPS
Call Of Duty Modern Warfare -> Low - Medium 60-90 FPS

  • Purchased in November 2020 for €75. Excellent purchase for its price. Now at around €150, it's definitely not worth it. The CPU is very good, but the price it's being sold for is excessive.

  • Very good processor for 80€, it reaches Ryzen 5 2600 performance in gaming and generally reaches Ryzen 5 2600 levels. It's like saying Ryzen 3 3100 and slightly better, worth its money

  • First of all, let me say that when I bought it, it was at 100 euros and not at 70. Now it is much better value for money, although AMD offers better things at this price. It is good if you consider that you will do logical things with it
