This work presents a deeper approach to the relationship between management and political science. The book systematically presents all aspects and expressions of this relationship, based on the case of diplomacy.
In the first part of the volume, the influence of both management and political science on the field of diplomatic negotiation is analyzed. Special emphasis is given to the following areas: the relationship between power and diplomacy, management of negotiations, the dynamics of politics, the new international system, the impact of management on unilateral, bilateral, secret, and quiet diplomacy, and the tools provided by political science.
The second part thoroughly analyzes the behavior of foreign policy within the framework of the relationship between management and political science. More specifically, the following areas are explored: the nature of foreign policy, the factors of political behavior, the concept of national interests, the potential consequences of war today, arms control and disarmament, and the balance of power.
In a broader context, perhaps for the first time, an academic coupling of management and political science is attempted within a specific field of action, such as diplomacy.
