Starting to read "Finis Iuris," the reader may think they have in their hands an essay on the Philosophy of Law or, better yet, the History of the Philosophy of Law – specifically, from the Roman period.

However, the content of this volume is not limited to that. Completing the reading necessitates the realization that it is a multidimensional, highly complex work where history meets ethnology, law converses with philosophy, Sanskrit gazes upon Latin, and ancient Greek thought nurtures Roman intellectualism.
