The Apricorn Aegis Padl external hard drive encrypts data in real time using 256-bit AES XTS hardware encryption. Access is protected by a PIN entered via the built-in keypad, while the PIN and data remain encrypted when the drive is not in use.

It is compatible with Windows, Linux, Mac, Android and Chrome, as well as embedded systems and equipment with a powered USB port and a storage file system. The internal components are protected against physical tampering with hardened epoxy resin, while locked firmware prevents modifications and protects against malware attacks such as BadUSB.
