  • User for over 3 years on various Dell Dock Stations (130W & 185W). I have to say the following:

    Positives
    -Huge connectivity convenience!
-It is truly plug and play. No special knowledge required.
    -Quite reliable.
-Easy and practical cable management (if you are tidy).

    Negatives
-If you connect a different product other than Dell without first checking Dell's compatibility chart, problems may start.
-In 3 years of use, on one Dock Station, all the USB ports burned out except for the power supply and the DP/HDMIs.
-In 3 years of almost daily use with a Dell Vostro, one of the fans gave a fault, but it still continues to work.
-Very expensive for what they now offer.

    Tips & Notes
Always connect Dell Laptops that you have previously checked to be compatible with the specific Dock, based on consumption/Wattage and connectivity.

Perfect! I have one at the office for my Dell laptop, 2 Dell monitors, and 1 HP printer, and I just bought a second one for my home for a Microsoft laptop, Turbox monitor, HP printer, and external webcam. Both Docking Stations work without any problems! You have all the peripheral cables in the dock and simply connect it to your laptop via typec. You can even forget about the charger as it supports parallel charging. Incredibly convenient is the on/off switch it has, as you can directly power on the laptop from the dock.
