The Newton’s Cradle is a decorative piece that combines science with art. Essentially, it resembles a complex pendulum but serves as a demonstration of the laws of conservation of energy and momentum.

It consists of five steel balls hanging from two strings each. The principle of operation is simple: if the first ball is pulled out of balance and released, it will stop once it strikes the second, with the latter being propelled with the same momentum that the first hit.
