The great roads and the mansions, the market, the stadiums, and the shrines, all were silent like enchanted. No anxiety or disturbance. The city itself would fill with life, ordinary tasks, daily routines.

Renowned artisans in metals, in wall paintings, in colorful pebble floors, would begin their work. The beautiful ladies in richly adorned clothes would leave a precious aroma of myrrh from Arabia in their wake. The ovens in the courtyards would bake crusty loaves. Pella would live every day as before. Young, proud, well-coiffed.
