    so it works when it wants. and to be fair, if you find the right spot to scan and you have patience, it might actually work. but for me, since a lot of money passes through my hands (gas station employee) in a short period of time, it's clearly a waste of time!!

    Weak LED UV, it requires deep darkness for someone to distinguish anything on a banknote. As for the magnetic detection, completely useless. A red LED lights up on the side when the button is pressed, supposedly indicating a buzzer sound for genuine banknotes. It was extensively tested on 50, 20, 10, 5 € notes, from both sides of the banknotes, with scrolling in multiple directions. It did not detect anything. Money wasted.

    It requires passing up and down on the magnetic tape for the magnetic detection to work on the banknotes. The UV needs to illuminate the banknote diagonally and this appears better in a dark space.
