It doesn't tighten permanently at all. I constantly feel the need to tighten the various parts at that point otherwise the microphone moves back and forth or rotates around itself.

It is excellent! Very good build quality, beautiful, and above all, it does its job perfectly! Before this, I had a 16€ mic arm and after a year of use, it completely collapsed.

I haven't tried other arms, but I'm sure I won't need to, having acquired this one from Rode. Excellent in every way!!! Stability, ease of use + installation, plenty of length, unlimited range of adjustments until the right position is found, etc.! No need to sit and screw/unscrew the arms every time you want to change position, nothing like that. You grab it, turn it, lower it/raise it wherever you want, without much fuss. It detaches from its base very easily without screwing and it rotates 360 degrees. I use it for recording a desktop surface (above my head, that is). The only thing you will need if you want it for such use is a quality and sturdy tripod head with a ball (ballhead) and quick release plate, so that the camera attaches easily and securely and you can turn it wherever you want (you should definitely spend around 40 bucks for that). Of course, the surface where you will place the arm needs to be completely stable and not wobble. Also, be careful not to cause any damage or bump it during use, because the springs "pull" the arm ALWAYS to open fully every time there is no weight on it (i.e., every time a microphone or camera is not mounted on it). The only downside for me is this, because when the arm is open, it takes up space (I remove it from its base and store it in a closet when I'm not using it). And one more piece of information: the screw on the arm where the microphone/camera/etc. attaches is size 3/8".

Ειχα αγχωθει να ψαχνω κριτικες στο νετ για πιο φθινες λυσεις για βραχιωνα συμβατο με NT1. Τελικα ειπα να παει να REDUCTED να παρω rode να εχω το κεφαλι μου ησηχο.
Πανευκολη συναρμολογιση , τελειο κρατημα στην θεση που το θελω , ακουνητο αταραχο ακομα και αν κοπανισω το τραπεζι. Οποιος ψαχνεται για βραχιονα της προκοπης και μπορει να δωσει τα λευτα , ας το κανει με κλειστα ματια.

Very sturdy construction and convenient size, however, after a few months of use, it started creaking quite a bit to the point where it was annoying and could be heard on the microphone.
It also loosened quite a bit to the point where even though the screws were tightened all the way, it couldn't hold my microphone (Rode NT-1) and if I didn't stabilize it in a "perfect" position, the stand would stretch and lift the microphone up, even though the Mic wasn't light enough for me to have an issue.
I switched to the Blue Compass.
Πολύ στιβαρή κατασκευή και βολικό μέγεθος όμως έχει μετά από λίγους μήνες χρήσης άρχισε να τρίζει αρκετά σε σημείο που ήταν ενοχλητικό και ακουγόταν στο μικρόφωνο.
Επίσης χαλάρωσε αρκετά σε σημείο που ενώ οι βίδες του ήταν τέρμα σφιγμένες, δε κράταγε το μικρόφωνο μου (Rode NT-1) και εάν δε το σταθεροποιούσα σε "perfect" θέση, η βάση τεντωνόταν και σήκωνε το μικρόφωνο ψηλά ενώ δεν ήταν τόσο ελαφρύ το Mic ώστε να έχω θέμα.
Άλλαξα σε Blue Compass.
For those who ask if it fits the razer seiren mini, the stand has an adapter inside that can hold the microphone on top and there is no issue!
Just bought it, probably it needs adjustment or the springs are defective and it doesn't stay in the desired position. As a result, I have used Tire Up to keep it stable in the spot I want.

I have had it for at least 3-4 years and it works great! It solved my hands because it doesn't take up space on the desk and honestly it doesn't bother me even during use.

Έιναι ένας γερανός που φτάνει 82-91 εκατοστά προς οποιαδήποτε κατεύθυνση 360 μοίρες και υποστηρίζει 700-1100 γραμμάρια μικρόφωνα..μαζι με τα παρελκόμενα pop filter shock mount και το καλώδιο xlr... το βάθος χρόνου θα δείξει αν ήταν καλή αγορά και θα έρθει και το review...
Χωράει σε γραφεία με πάχος μέχρι 55χιλιοστά... Το σέτ περιλαμβάνει και μια υποδοχή - βίδα για μόνιμη εγκατάσταση σε γραφεία που θα θέλατε να τρυπήσετε !
Τα θετικά : δεν τρίζει... δε χρειάστηκε ρύθμιση αντίστασης στα ελατήρια για να μένει σταθερό εκεί που το έβαλα, τα ελατήρια είναι κρυμμένα εσωτερικά επομένως δεν τα επηρεάζει το ίδιο η υγρασία δωματίου και η σκόνη... αρα εχουν καποια καλύτερη μακροζωία και ίσως δε τρίζουν σε βάθος χρόνου...
προς στιγμήν είναι αθόρυβο και πολύ βολικό, επίσης κρατάει τη γωνία - κλίση του μικροφώνου όπως και να το κουνήσεις γιατί λειτουργούν σα ψαλίδια τα ημιβραχιώνια..
Αρνητικά: Τιμούλα.... εντάξει θα πρότεινα και οποιον/α αγοράζουν απο εξωτερικό της neewer που το μόνο που αλλάζει είναι τα εξωτερικά ελατήρια αντι για απόκρυφα... για μένα είναι μια καλή επένδυση πάντως και δεν αφαιρώ 1 αστέρι λόγω της ποιότητας και του κουτιού που εφτασε άθικτο!

Ειχα αγχωθει να ψαχνω κριτικες στο νετ για πιο φθινες λυσεις για βραχιωνα συμβατο με NT1. Τελικα ειπα να παει να REDUCTED να παρω rode να εχω το κεφαλι μου ησηχο.
Πανευκολη συναρμολογιση , τελειο κρατημα στην θεση που το θελω , ακουνητο αταραχο ακομα και αν κοπανισω το τραπεζι. Οποιος ψαχνεται για βραχιονα της προκοπης και μπορει να δωσει τα λευτα , ας το κανει με κλειστα ματια.

Very sturdy construction and convenient size, however, after a few months of use, it started creaking quite a bit to the point where it was annoying and could be heard on the microphone.
It also loosened quite a bit to the point where even though the screws were tightened all the way, it couldn't hold my microphone (Rode NT-1) and if I didn't stabilize it in a "perfect" position, the stand would stretch and lift the microphone up, even though the Mic wasn't light enough for me to have an issue.
I switched to the Blue Compass.
Πολύ στιβαρή κατασκευή και βολικό μέγεθος όμως έχει μετά από λίγους μήνες χρήσης άρχισε να τρίζει αρκετά σε σημείο που ήταν ενοχλητικό και ακουγόταν στο μικρόφωνο.
Επίσης χαλάρωσε αρκετά σε σημείο που ενώ οι βίδες του ήταν τέρμα σφιγμένες, δε κράταγε το μικρόφωνο μου (Rode NT-1) και εάν δε το σταθεροποιούσα σε "perfect" θέση, η βάση τεντωνόταν και σήκωνε το μικρόφωνο ψηλά ενώ δεν ήταν τόσο ελαφρύ το Mic ώστε να έχω θέμα.
Άλλαξα σε Blue Compass.

Έιναι ένας γερανός που φτάνει 82-91 εκατοστά προς οποιαδήποτε κατεύθυνση 360 μοίρες και υποστηρίζει 700-1100 γραμμάρια μικρόφωνα..μαζι με τα παρελκόμενα pop filter shock mount και το καλώδιο xlr... το βάθος χρόνου θα δείξει αν ήταν καλή αγορά και θα έρθει και το review...
Χωράει σε γραφεία με πάχος μέχρι 55χιλιοστά... Το σέτ περιλαμβάνει και μια υποδοχή - βίδα για μόνιμη εγκατάσταση σε γραφεία που θα θέλατε να τρυπήσετε !
Τα θετικά : δεν τρίζει... δε χρειάστηκε ρύθμιση αντίστασης στα ελατήρια για να μένει σταθερό εκεί που το έβαλα, τα ελατήρια είναι κρυμμένα εσωτερικά επομένως δεν τα επηρεάζει το ίδιο η υγρασία δωματίου και η σκόνη... αρα εχουν καποια καλύτερη μακροζωία και ίσως δε τρίζουν σε βάθος χρόνου...
προς στιγμήν είναι αθόρυβο και πολύ βολικό, επίσης κρατάει τη γωνία - κλίση του μικροφώνου όπως και να το κουνήσεις γιατί λειτουργούν σα ψαλίδια τα ημιβραχιώνια..
Αρνητικά: Τιμούλα.... εντάξει θα πρότεινα και οποιον/α αγοράζουν απο εξωτερικό της neewer που το μόνο που αλλάζει είναι τα εξωτερικά ελατήρια αντι για απόκρυφα... για μένα είναι μια καλή επένδυση πάντως και δεν αφαιρώ 1 αστέρι λόγω της ποιότητας και του κουτιού που εφτασε άθικτο!

It is supposed to be one of the best in its category. I'm not saying, good build quality but where my microphone (Blue Yeti) goes in, I still haven't figured out after years what the hell it wants. It doesn't tighten permanently at all. I constantly feel the need to tighten the various parts at that point otherwise the microphone moves back and forth or rotates around itself.

I haven't tried other arms, but I'm sure I won't need to, having acquired this one from Rode. Excellent in every way!!! Stability, ease of use + installation, plenty of length, unlimited range of adjustments until the right position is found, etc.! No need to sit and screw/unscrew the arms every time you want to change position, nothing like that. You grab it, turn it, lower it/raise it wherever you want, without much fuss. It detaches from its base very easily without screwing and it rotates 360 degrees. I use it for recording a desktop surface (above my head, that is). The only thing you will need if you want it for such use is a quality and sturdy tripod head with a ball (ballhead) and quick release plate, so that the camera attaches easily and securely and you can turn it wherever you want (you should definitely spend around 40 bucks for that). Of course, the surface where you will place the arm needs to be completely stable and not wobble. Also, be careful not to cause any damage or bump it during use, because the springs "pull" the arm ALWAYS to open fully every time there is no weight on it (i.e., every time a microphone or camera is not mounted on it). The only downside for me is this, because when the arm is open, it takes up space (I remove it from its base and store it in a closet when I'm not using it). And one more piece of information: the screw on the arm where the microphone/camera/etc. attaches is size 3/8".

Σταθερότητα, ευκολία χρήσης + τοποθέτησης, αρκετό μήκος, απεριόριστο εύρος ρυθμίσεων ώσπου να βρεθεί η κατάλληλη θέση κτλ.! Ούτε να κάθεσαι να βιδώνεις/ξεβιδώνεις τους βραχιόνες κάθε φορά που θες να αλλάξεις θέση, ούτε τίποτα. Το πιάνεις, το γυρνάς, το κατεβάζεις/ανεβάζεις όπου θες, χωρίς πολλά πολλά. Αφαιρείται από την βάση του πανεύκολα χωρίς βίδωμα και ειναι περιστρεφόμενος 360μοίρες. Τον χρησιμοποιώ για βιντεοσκόπηση επιφάνειας γραφείου (πάνω από το κεφάλι μου δλδ). Το μόνο που θα χρειαστείτε αν το θέλετε για τέτοια χρήση, είναι μια ποιοτική και στιβαρή κεφαλή τριπόδου με μπίλια (ballhead) και quick release plate, ώστε να κουμπώνει εύκολα και σίγουρα η κάμερα και να την γυρνάς όπου θες (κανα 40άρι θα πρέπει να το δωσετε σίγουρα). Φυσικά, θα πρέπει η επιφάνεια όπου θα τοποθετήσετε τον βραχίονα να είναι πλήρως σταθερή και να μην ταλαντώνεται.
