What do we know about Plato Rodokanakis? Which real events from the artistic Athens of 1910 come to light? A series of murders in the present unfolds in a fictional crime thriller.
However, in order to interpret them, we are called to turn our gaze exclusively to the past, as all the elements for their resolution are located right there. The story of the work In Memory of a Small Child by Ioli Andreadi and Aris Asprouli is based on real events, yet it is entirely a work of fiction.
The inspiration for writing it was The Crimson Rose of Plato Rodokanakis, and from this began and completed a ten-year research into historical archives, publications of the time, and auctions of old books.
There is a noticeable influence on the play's dramaturgy from key representatives of late pop culture, such as Umberto Eco, David Fincher, Dan Brown, and the Wachowski brothers.
