Designs the best route for efficient cleaning

With a laser sensor, innovative mapping algorithms, and advanced navigation technology SLAM, the Xiaomi Roborock S6 is able to map while it operates. This results in better route planning and more efficient cleaning, as it doesn't waste time thinking about the next step, but has already calculated it.

Overcomes small obstacles

With a height detection sensor, the S6 can climb small obstacles (up to 2 centimeters) and continue its work without fear of getting stuck. Additionally, if it detects that it is on a carpet, it automatically increases its power to cope with the new conditions, and when it crosses it, it returns to normal operating levels.

No need for boundary tape

The S6 is capable of recognizing where it needs to stop, without the need for digital wall tape. Through the application, digital walls of length 40cm to 10m are defined, which the S6 recognizes and behaves as if it found a real wall. This way, it can stay away from areas where it should not be or far from unstable furniture, without much effort.

Real-time Mapping

Through the S6 application, the path that the vacuum cleaner has followed as well as the path ahead of it are displayed in real time so that you can adequately monitor its progress. Compared to the previous model, it is more powerful, with a larger bin, especially the water tank. What disappointed me and made me deduct a star is the battery. While my other vacuum cleaner (s55) has never stopped cleaning for charging in the same square meters for years, unfortunately, the new vacuum cleaner does not have a good battery.

Well the vacuum cleaner is awesome!!!!
First of all, I have to say that it has an issue with the connection...the WiFi network it connects to should not contain symbols in the password...otherwise it won't connect!!!
Now, as for the performance of the vacuum itself:
Many people write that it makes noise etc... Well, it's a vacuum, won't it make noise? It has three performance levels, if you put it on the most powerful one, it is indeed quite noisy but on the one hand it's logical because it works at full power and on the other hand you put this vacuum on when you are away from home so NO DISTURBANCE...
I won't say it does a perfect job but for cleaning about 80-90% of the total surface of the house it is effective...it doesn't go behind doors (logical), it doesn't go under tables with chairs inside them and generally it doesn't clean under things on the floor...it cleans ANY OTHER AREA JUST FINE!!!
ATTENTION if you have small children it will suck up small toys as well, it struggles with small-light objects and especially those with tassels...
I haven't tried mopping yet...
I will come back with impressions again!!!

I have been using the vacuum cleaner for quite some time now on a daily basis. It has proven to be very reliable and the issue with the maps was resolved with a software update after a while. The only thing it does is that sometimes, on the same route, it can't pass through a specific point and it shows the error message "move the obstacles". I turn it back to its base and restart the program.
What I haven't checked is if there are spare parts available in the Greek market. However, I am waiting for the discounts to buy another one and from the research I did on other companies' new models, I didn't find anything better, especially with such low noise levels. So I will buy the same one again, it's top-notch for this price.

While everything was going fine, I had created 2 maps (with difficulty since there are no instructions on how to operate the application, you have to search for them) for the 2 levels of my house and I had figured out how the application works up to that point. Suddenly, it started losing the maps. I started the mapping process from scratch but I can't even divide the rooms correctly or name them, it doesn't work and I have wasted several hours. UNACCEPTABLE.

I have had the irobot980 for 4 years, it's the best possible with smart features for its time and until last year. Let's start with the comment I had made... how nice it is to come home and find it clean while now you can clean it as many times as you want while you're at home since the noise levels are much lower. (One reason I was tired of the 980 was the excessive noise, that was the only issue). The build quality seems good, time will tell. The first thing I noticed is the short power cord length, so I connected a power strip with a longer cord. The dustbin is in a good position where you can remove and clean both the bin and the filter without creating dirt in the surrounding area. The size is smaller than the 980, which worried me because we have 3 cats and you can imagine the amount of hair, but I decided to buy this one instead of the iroborS9+ that costs 1500€.

In the first 2 days of use, covering an area of 210m2, I have run 8 different cleaning programs. I removed the bin 3 times without it being filled to a desperate point (although it had cleaned the same area, just more times within a few hours). The main rotating brush needed serious cleaning twice, it had a lot of hair and debris around it and at the ends near the pivot point. And in the silicone brush, I found the same amount of debris (it needs to be unscrewed with a screwdriver and cleaned daily if you have a 100m2 house and cats like me).

Advantages:
+ Longer operating time, it can work much longer and covers each area it cleans in almost the same or less time than what I had until now.
+ It covers the area around chairs better.
+ It doesn't bump into furniture much (probably the laser navigation works better than the camera navigation).
+ It can work at night.
+ The app gives you options and features that no other vacuum cleaner has (I'm still learning about them).
+ It can also mop (it just maintains a well-mopped area if it falls and makes a stain, especially near edges and corners, etc. We collect it with our hands.
+ The price!!! Let's not forget that what you pay and what you get matters.

- It does not have the edge and corner cleaning program that the 980 has, and the subsequent ones do a little less work on the edges.

I do not consider the fact that it does not have a detector for dirty spots to be something important or at least I did not find it as something special and I had it in the 980.

I consider it a very good purchase

Four (4) words: The result is exceptional.

Cleaning on smooth surfaces (tiles, wood, etc.) is almost complete. Minimal dust or debris or dirt escapes. It climbs on carpets and rugs up to about 2 fingers in height. The only downside on carpets is that the brush will often stop turning. But the vacuum automatically recognizes the material change and goes into turbo mode. They have improved the central rotating brush, resulting in nothing getting tangled there (no threads, no hairs, etc.)

Mopping is also the 2nd strong point. The removable water tank (adding a few drops of cleaner) is capable of mopping a complete and comfortable apartment up to 100sqm.

After vacuuming, the floor looks as if it has been mopped, and after mopping, it looks like it has been waxed. The result is so impressive.

There are 2 cats at home, so it was very important to have the ability to absorb hairs. And in this area, the result is amazing. Normally, the bin holds the cleaning of a 100-120sqm house, but if you have pets and a large house, then it is very likely (e.g. if you use the vacuum 1 or 2 times a week) to be asked to empty the bin during cleaning to continue.

Its battery, with the device at normal intensity, is enough to clean a house over 150sqm, although the bin will likely fill up before the battery runs out.

The package comes with extra air filters and extra mopping cloths.

The application has many options but is not the most user-friendly. On the very positive side, it recognizes each room separately and allows the user to redefine the rooms (e.g. if the living room - kitchen are in a unified space, you can separate them virtually through the application and the vacuum will not "see" them as one). But on the other hand, it could be much easier to set virtual barriers or switch the device to manual mode.

P.S.1: If you want the best result, it is ideal to have tidied up the house a bit beforehand. There should be no cables or small objects on the floor, chairs should not be in the middle, and toys should not be scattered. Know that the software has the ability to store the map of the house and at the same time to redesign its route. So if there was an obstacle somewhere the previous time and it did not clean the spot, it does not mean that it will not go there next time. It will recognize that the obstacle no longer exists and will clean it. As you can understand, it is extremely important and useful that this feature exists.

P.S.2: It goes everywhere it fits, but if it fits under your couch but the couch has some kind of cover/fabric that can hang down to the floor and does not make access under the couch visible, then it will perceive it as an obstacle (even if it is not solid) and will not try to bypass it. So free up access and it will go everywhere.

P.S.3: The 4 stars are due to the not so user-friendly application. It would be more value for money if the price is close to or slightly below 500. Prefer the black one because the white one can easily get scratches and marks

It is the next model from the best seller s50. It does an incredible job in all areas, mapping the house the first time, dividing the spaces with colors, and you can name the rooms with Greek characters through the app. The next time it chooses the optimal route as you can send it to clean any rooms you want on the map. Very good vacuuming, it goes up to 2cm on carpets and increases the intensity when it detects carpet. Very powerful and even picks up small pieces of broken glass. Quite good mopping on marble with the addition of a little liquid mop scent in the bin that scents the whole house! My wife was hesitant before buying it, but now she has fallen in love with it!! A big issue it has, like previous models, is that if you have rugs with irregular colors and patterns, when it reaches the black pattern, it stops as if it sees stairs and does not pass through the point! This happens regardless of the thickness of the rug. The only way I have found so far is to cover the bottom sensors with white tape. Support has not yet provided a solution with any software upgrade. In my communication with support about the problem, they told me they are aware of it but cannot fix it for security reasons, and the proposed way is to cover the sensors with white tape, provided I don't have stairs... You can also find ready-made covers that close the sensors on eBay by searching for covers for cliff sensor

Well the vacuum cleaner is awesome!!!!
First of all, I have to say that it has an issue with the connection...the WiFi network it connects to should not contain symbols in the password...otherwise it won't connect!!!
Now, as for the performance of the vacuum itself:
Many people write that it makes noise etc... Well, it's a vacuum, won't it make noise? It has three performance levels, if you put it on the most powerful one, it is indeed quite noisy but on the one hand it's logical because it works at full power and on the other hand you put this vacuum on when you are away from home so NO DISTURBANCE...
I won't say it does a perfect job but for cleaning about 80-90% of the total surface of the house it is effective...it doesn't go behind doors (logical), it doesn't go under tables with chairs inside them and generally it doesn't clean under things on the floor...it cleans ANY OTHER AREA JUST FINE!!!
ATTENTION if you have small children it will suck up small toys as well, it struggles with small-light objects and especially those with tassels...
I haven't tried mopping yet...
I will come back with impressions again!!!

I have been using the vacuum cleaner for quite some time now on a daily basis. It has proven to be very reliable and the issue with the maps was resolved with a software update after a while. The only thing it does is that sometimes, on the same route, it can't pass through a specific point and it shows the error message "move the obstacles". I turn it back to its base and restart the program.
What I haven't checked is if there are spare parts available in the Greek market. However, I am waiting for the discounts to buy another one and from the research I did on other companies' new models, I didn't find anything better, especially with such low noise levels. So I will buy the same one again, it's top-notch for this price.

While everything was going fine, I had created 2 maps (with difficulty since there are no instructions on how to operate the application, you have to search for them) for the 2 levels of my house and I had figured out how the application works up to that point. Suddenly, it started losing the maps. I started the mapping process from scratch but I can't even divide the rooms correctly or name them, it doesn't work and I have wasted several hours. UNACCEPTABLE.

I have had the irobot980 for 4 years, it's the best possible with smart features for its time and until last year. Let's start with the comment I had made... how nice it is to come home and find it clean while now you can clean it as many times as you want while you're at home since the noise levels are much lower. (One reason I was tired of the 980 was the excessive noise, that was the only issue). The build quality seems good, time will tell. The first thing I noticed is the short power cord length, so I connected a power strip with a longer cord. The dustbin is in a good position where you can remove and clean both the bin and the filter without creating dirt in the surrounding area. The size is smaller than the 980, which worried me because we have 3 cats and you can imagine the amount of hair, but I decided to buy this one instead of the iroborS9+ that costs 1500€.

In the first 2 days of use, covering an area of 210m2, I have run 8 different cleaning programs. I removed the bin 3 times without it being filled to a desperate point (although it had cleaned the same area, just more times within a few hours). The main rotating brush needed serious cleaning twice, it had a lot of hair and debris around it and at the ends near the pivot point. And in the silicone brush, I found the same amount of debris (it needs to be unscrewed with a screwdriver and cleaned daily if you have a 100m2 house and cats like me).

Advantages:
+ Longer operating time, it can work much longer and covers each area it cleans in almost the same or less time than what I had until now.
+ It covers the area around chairs better.
+ It doesn't bump into furniture much (probably the laser navigation works better than the camera navigation).
+ It can work at night.
+ The app gives you options and features that no other vacuum cleaner has (I'm still learning about them).
+ It can also mop (it just maintains a well-mopped area if it falls and makes a stain, especially near edges and corners, etc. We collect it with our hands.
+ The price!!! Let's not forget that what you pay and what you get matters.

- It does not have the edge and corner cleaning program that the 980 has, and the subsequent ones do a little less work on the edges.

I do not consider the fact that it does not have a detector for dirty spots to be something important or at least I did not find it as something special and I had it in the 980.

I consider it a very good purchase

Four (4) words: The result is exceptional.

Cleaning on smooth surfaces (tiles, wood, etc.) is almost complete. Minimal dust or debris or dirt escapes. It climbs on carpets and rugs up to about 2 fingers in height. The only downside on carpets is that the brush will often stop turning. But the vacuum automatically recognizes the material change and goes into turbo mode. They have improved the central rotating brush, resulting in nothing getting tangled there (no threads, no hairs, etc.)

Mopping is also the 2nd strong point. The removable water tank (adding a few drops of cleaner) is capable of mopping a complete and comfortable apartment up to 100sqm.

After vacuuming, the floor looks as if it has been mopped, and after mopping, it looks like it has been waxed. The result is so impressive.

There are 2 cats at home, so it was very important to have the ability to absorb hairs. And in this area, the result is amazing. Normally, the bin holds the cleaning of a 100-120sqm house, but if you have pets and a large house, then it is very likely (e.g. if you use the vacuum 1 or 2 times a week) to be asked to empty the bin during cleaning to continue.

Its battery, with the device at normal intensity, is enough to clean a house over 150sqm, although the bin will likely fill up before the battery runs out.

The package comes with extra air filters and extra mopping cloths.

The application has many options but is not the most user-friendly. On the very positive side, it recognizes each room separately and allows the user to redefine the rooms (e.g. if the living room - kitchen are in a unified space, you can separate them virtually through the application and the vacuum will not "see" them as one). But on the other hand, it could be much easier to set virtual barriers or switch the device to manual mode.

P.S.1: If you want the best result, it is ideal to have tidied up the house a bit beforehand. There should be no cables or small objects on the floor, chairs should not be in the middle, and toys should not be scattered. Know that the software has the ability to store the map of the house and at the same time to redesign its route. So if there was an obstacle somewhere the previous time and it did not clean the spot, it does not mean that it will not go there next time. It will recognize that the obstacle no longer exists and will clean it. As you can understand, it is extremely important and useful that this feature exists.

It is the next model from the best seller s50. It does an incredible job in all areas, mapping the house the first time, dividing the spaces with colors, and you can name the rooms with Greek characters through the app. The next time it chooses the optimal route as you can send it to clean any rooms you want on the map. Very good vacuuming, it goes up to 2cm on carpets and increases the intensity when it detects carpet. Very powerful and even picks up small pieces of broken glass. Quite good mopping on marble with the addition of a little liquid mop scent in the bin that scents the whole house! My wife was hesitant before buying it, but now she has fallen in love with it!! A big issue it has, like previous models, is that if you have rugs with irregular colors and patterns, when it reaches the black pattern, it stops as if it sees stairs and does not pass through the point! This happens regardless of the thickness of the rug. The only way I have found so far is to cover the bottom sensors with white tape. Support has not yet provided a solution with any software upgrade. In my communication with support about the problem, they told me they are aware of it but cannot fix it for security reasons, and the proposed way is to cover the sensors with white tape, provided I don't have stairs... You can also find ready-made covers that close the sensors on eBay by searching for covers for cliff sensor
