The Psychology of Crowds by Gustave Le Bon, a book published in 1895 in France, is the birthplace of the 'crowds'. Before this book, aside from the almost contemporary peaks of Friedrich Nietzsche, there were no 'crowds'.
The text and its author have been the subject of harsh criticism. They thus became the background for the development of social psychology as we know it today.
The psychology of crowds, this supposed originary place of ideological rigidities of a totalitarian nature, is filled with significant historical narratives, bold historical and historically significant interpretations, and interesting psychological analyses.
