Το μόνο που χρειάζεται είναι λιγάκι υπομονή στον τρόπο χρήσης του, όσο αναφορά την πέτρα ακονίσματος. Χρειάζεται λιγάκι υπομονή και προσπάθεια μέχρι να αποκτήσει κάποιος την εμπειρία της κλίσης του μαχαιριού επάνω στο ακόνι. Υπάρχουν μυριάδες video στο YouTube που μπορούν να βοηθήσουν σ'αυτό.
Αν το μάθει κανείς, μπορώ να πω πως είναι πιο απλό σε ακόνισμα με μια waterstone.
Αν κάποιος θέλει ένα μαχαίρι να κόβει το χαρτί σαν γιαούρτι είναι ότι καλύτερο. Αν κάποιος άλλος θέλει το μαχαίρι του να ξυρίζει γένια και τρίχες, τότε θα πρέπει να εξοπλιστεί και με κάτι παραπάνω, όπως waterstone 10000> grit ή έστω κάποιο leather.
Την δουλειά του την κάνει και με το παραπάνω. Φορητό και εύχρηστο.
