Description

The things I thought were true are shadows, and the real things are what I took for shadows. T.S. Eliot, "Family Reunion".

This small book presents the struggle of two young people between the world and the Kingdom of God. They found themselves blocked by a multitude of incidents that pushed them toward "this is what I want" - "this is what I like," but they sacrificed everything to do what they "had to," what they saw in Christ, what they realized they "were obligated" to do.

Let us follow their life journey amidst their daily "struggles," continuously asking ourselves the question: You, where and how are you positioned? What would you do in a similar scenario? And how beautiful it is to be able to observe the path of Grace in a soul! It brings a warmth of spirit; and a great strength.

These two ("warmth" and "spiritual strength") are offered by the lives of the saints and new martyrs: Demetrios, who was martyred in Tripoli in 1803, and Triantafyllos, who was martyred in Eastern Thrace in 1820. A support for all of us and a blessing for the Church of Christ through the ages.
