In this volume, folkloric texts by the author are collected and republished, which have, from time to time, seen the light of publication in various newspapers.
"Ephemeral" texts, mainly due to their mode of publication, that approach customs, texts, events, and personalities of our time and attempt to make cuts in our folkloric matters.
Texts that delineate the interplay between the old and the new, which characterizes contemporary Greek traditional culture, as it has been inherited to us and as our society manages it.
Perhaps these texts are more relevant today than ever, as the trends of globalization in our time are in constant conflict and dialectical synthesis with anything traditional, unique, and nationally colored.
And it is this necessity that prompted their republication here, as a small contribution to the dialogue between the old and the new, which characterizes the beginning of the new century.
