Description & Specifications

The Sette 270W is the new grinder from Baratza with the new vertical grinding method with zero clumping and almost no retention. It has an integrated scale made by the well-known company Acaia. The mechanism of the grinder allows us to change the portaholder from the brewing position to the position for inserting our portafilter.

Features:

  • The scale detects the accessory, tares it, and weighs the coffee that is ground either inside the portafilter or inside the vessel for brewing filtered coffee. Acaia has also included a small chip on the back of the grinder that can be connected via Bluetooth to a smartphone to view all the data (portafilter weight, ground coffee weight, etc.).
  • The motor in the Sette (and in both models) is horizontally positioned and connected to the transmission mechanism. This, in turn, rotates the outer burr. The beans fall into the burrs, which pull them in and do not rely on the weight of the beans inside the hopper.
  • The grinder does not have a chute for the coffee to exit, and the ground coffee falls directly into the portafilter. This practically means greater speed, zero retention, and minimal to zero clumping.
  • The grinder has macro settings and countless micro adjustments.
