The Eti Thermapen Classic digital cooking thermometer with probe measures temperature in 3 seconds and has a measuring range of -49.9 °C to 299.9 °C. Its accuracy is ±0.4 °C from -49.9 °C to 199.9 °C and ±1 °C across the rest of the range. The probe features a K-type thermocouple sensor.

The large LCD has 14.5 mm-high digits, and the resolution can be set to 0.1 °C or 1 °C. The thermometer operates on two 3 V CR2032 lithium batteries, with a battery life of up to 1,500 hours, and switches off automatically after 10 minutes of continuous operation. Biomaster technology limits the growth of microbes on its surface, and an NIST calibration certificate is included.
