Description

TUF Gaming X570-Plus distills the essential elements of the latest AMD platform and combines them with game-ready features and proven durability. Engineered with military-grade components, upgraded power solutions and a comprehensive set of cooling options, these motherboards deliver rock-solid performance with unwavering gaming stability.

With upgraded power delivery and comprehensive cooling options to fuel AMD's latest CPUs, plus support for faster memory and storage, TUF Gaming X570-Plus is the perfect foundation for your next high-core-count AMD battle rig.

TUF Gaming Alliance

TUF Gaming Alliance is a collaboration between ASUS and trusted PC-component brands to ensure compatibility with a wide range of parts, such as PC cases, power supplies, CPU coolers, memory kits and more. With more partnerships and components being added regularly, the TUF Gaming Alliance will continue to grow even stronger.

Cooling

1. VRM HEATSINK, Large, high-mass heatsink with extensive surface that covers the VRM and choke areas.

High-quality thermal pads help transfer heat from the inductor and phase array to the heatsink.

2. Active chipset heatsink, with a dedicated chipset fan ensures optimal cooling for more stable performance.

3. M.2 HEATSINK, keeps the M.2 SSD at the optimum operating temperature for consistent performance and reliability.

Dual PCIe 4.0 m.2

Dual PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots support up to type 22110 and provide NVMe SSD RAID support for an incredible performance boost. Create a RAID configuration with up to two PCIe 4.0 storage devices to enjoy the fastest data-transfer speeds on the 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen platform.

SafeSlot

SafeSlot is the PCIe slot redefined by ASUS and designed to provide superior retention and resistance to shearing. Manufactured in a single step with a new insert casting process, SafeSlot incorporates reinforcing metal for an inherently stronger slot, which is then firmly anchored to the PCB via additional solder points.

Armoury Crate

Armoury Crate is a new software utility designed to provide centralized control of supported gaming products. From a single intuitive workspace, Armoury Crate allows you to easily customize the lighting and RGB effects for each compatible device in your arsenal and synchronize them with Aura Sync for unified system lighting effects.

The software also provides control over settings for a selected and growing number of products, including keyboard and mouse preferences, as well as laptop overclocking and fan speeds, making it easy to set the appearance and atmosphere of your system.

Ethernet

Enjoy incredibly fast gaming with ASUS's exclusive Realtek L8200A Gigabit Ethernet. With performance and stability improvements, the LAN is optimized for efficient data transfers with low CPU latency.

Wi-Fi 5

The TUF Gaming X570-Plus (Wi-Fi) features Intel Wireless AC-9260 Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) with 2x2 MU-MIMO and wide 160MHz channels, for wireless speeds up to 1.73Gbps.

In reality, the integrated Wireless-AC 9260 Wi-Fi adapter pushes wireless data up to 2 times faster, so you'll have fast, smooth transfers even when your device is farther away from the router. The Intel Wireless-AC 9260 adapter also offers Bluetooth 5.0 for connections that are up to 2X faster than ever, and with up to 4X greater range.

Aura Sync RGB Lighting

A well-tuned system deserves an equally aesthetic look. ASUS Aura provides full control of RGB lighting with a variety of functional presets for built-in RGB LED lights as well as for strips connected to built-in RGB headers. And all of this can be synchronized with a constantly growing portfolio of Aura-enabled hardware.

I built my first PC with this motherboard, running Arch Linux flawlessly. For RGB (openRGB) and drivers, everything works great with the open source options, and I have better performance in some games (CSGO) compared to Windows. However, I had some issues as it didn't support Ryzen 7 5800X, so I had to install an older processor to update the BIOS. For a budget gaming build, it's great, but if I were to build the PC from scratch, I would go for something better because it's a hassle if you install Ryzen 7 or higher.

The lack that I noticed is that it doesn't have a plug for the USB-C port that the box has. I will definitely need an adapter, but I will look for it in due time. Other than that, it's worth its money.

The motherboard is one of the best for the Ryzen 5000 series, specifically for the 5600X that I installed on mine. The bios is incredibly user-friendly and I didn't even need a bios update in my case to read the 5600, as most people say, so I didn't need a previous generation CPU. But even in this case, the store where you order it can do the update for you for 15-20 euros. Also, the one nvme slot has a plate on top with cooling paste, so it's great for m.2 like the Samsung 970 evo plus. The only thing that gave me trouble was attaching the IO Shield (but it's probably my issue with shields in general since I had a similar problem with the previous motherboard) and also due to the size, it was difficult to attach the SATA III cables in a midi tower (NZXT H510i). Nonetheless, it's an excellent purchase, with wifi/bluetooth or without.

Do not choose this specific motherboard for a new build with Ryzen 5000. Usually, it comes with an old BIOS that does not support the new Ryzen processors (no post), and there is no way to update the BIOS without it making a post. The only way to update the BIOS is to use an older processor. In my case, I had to return it to the store to get the update done.

After the update, everything is fine.

Very good motherboard although I could have done my job with a cheaper one but because I wanted it to be somewhat future proof I chose this one. The wifi on it is not so good for some reason. Its speeds are very low so the extra 20€ are unjustified...

I have the motherboard for 4 months, from the beginning it beeps when I start it up and then it works normally. Secondly, when I press del to enter the bios it freezes and requires a restart. The fan below the graphics card doesn't make any sense.

The fan is not audible (or at least not audible above the other fans). It has several ports and its construction seems good.

My RAM is recognized by DOCP (XMP), but it is not stable, so it needs to be set to a slightly lower frequency and looser timings (however, it is not on the QVL for my CPU, so it is not a negative of the motherboard).

After intensive market research, it is the most value-for-money motherboard on the market for Zen2 and PCI-E 4.0.
    It was purchased for €190 for Ryzen 5 3600 & 5700 XT.
With the latest BIOS update, it supports Corsair Vengeance Pro at 3200 without any issues and has easy commands from the BIOS for those looking for OC.
    Highly recommended.

Edit 11/2020: The increase in price and lack of availability in the last year is not random. As I mentioned, it was the value-for-money choice.
Of course, now at €230, it is not worth it when you can go for a Strix model at €270, and this is not for VRMs, temperatures, or BIOS (they perform equally well in these aspects) but purely for the increased ports and better appearance.
For example, I mention that the Tuf does not have a USB-C port on the front panel.
Other than that, no complaints, and it remains a very good choice at this price range

I think for x570, this motherboard is value for money, as if you search for reviews on YouTube and compare it with other x570 motherboards, I have paired it with Ryzen 5 3600, 16gb 3000 Ram, and the PC runs smoothly and without any issues

  • I built my first PC with this motherboard, running Arch Linux flawlessly.
