What do users say? AI-generated summary

Opinions are mixed: several people find the device useful and effective for preparing large quantities of apples, appreciating how quickly it peels and slices them. It’s mainly mentioned for making apple pies or processing a lot of fruit, as it takes some practice to get used to the settings. However, it struggles with soft or unevenly shaped apples, and adjustments are often needed to get satisfactory results.

Quite good.
It needs adjustment, of course.
And the most important adjustment is NOT the one that most people think, which is the "blade" for peeling. This simply determines how thick the peel will be cut.
The most important adjustment is the screw at the base of the peeling arm.
The more you tighten it, the greater the distance between the arm and the apple.
In other words, you tighten it for larger apples, and loosen it for smaller ones.
If you put a large apple and the screw is completely loosened, it presses it too much and doesn't move forward, resulting in the apple breaking at the point where it is pinned.
Of course, it doesn't need adjustment every time.
If you "calibrate" it once with a regular-sized apple, then you won't have any issues with slightly larger or smaller ones.
Unless you try to put a peanut or something.
TIR: Don't try to remove the cylinder with the seeds that stays on top by hand. When you pull back the lever, it will hit against the ring and come out.

I am writing this review because this particular device has very limited capabilities. I could even describe it as bad. The reason is that in order to cut something with this device, it has to be as hard as a rock. I only tried it with apples and pears, which need to be very hard to be cut. Such a device is only worth it if someone wants to make apple pie. So, for apple pie, I don't think we should be chasing the hardest apples on the market!! Overall, I regret buying it and I just can't be bothered to return it. Maybe it's better for potatoes, but I didn't try because I don't eat them. For someone who wants to have devices in the kitchen, they can get it.

  • The best thing if you have lots of apples to cut up, e.g. for apple pie or to put in jars. You need to get a little familiar with the settings.

If you want to cut up just one apple, I don’t think it’s worth the setup and washing up.

If the apple is not uniform enough, instead of peeling it, it either sticks and tears the grip on the nails, or it starts digging into it, so I ended up nailing the apple to the nails and cleaning it with a knife since I only have one hand I can't clean it otherwise, although I believe that a simple "plate" with nails would do the same job for me and I would put it in the dishwasher...

Despite the consecutive adjustments on the blade, it cleans the apple, but not perfectly, and if it is also soft, then things become even more difficult.
