It does what it promises, that is, it blocks the eARC (hdmi-cec) signals transmitted via HDMI. I put it on the HDMI cable of the mini PC so that it doesn't affect the corresponding commands given by the TV. (Both the PC and the TV are connected via HDMI to a Denon amplifier and some conflict arose, so the volume or power commands for the amplifier didn't work when the commands were given from the TV remote). As soon as I put this on the PC, everything was resolved and the conflict disappeared
