This book is perhaps the first endeavor in analogous bibliographical chronicles, where Byzantine painting is considered, not simply through the lens of technical analysis of its data, but primarily with a reflective and philosophically inclined disposition.
Giorgos Kordis dares to delve deeply into the obvious and reveal the cosmogony that occurs in his thought when engaging with a plethora of topics that gather the interest and questions of both specialists and non-specialists.
Written with vigor and unwavering precision, the following pages immerse the reader in the fascinating world of Byzantine iconography, convincing them that it exists not as a thing but as an event, insofar as it directly depends on the observer.
