    Ultra-wide angle lenses with a shooting angle of approximately 180° and intense distortion, which is usually the desired effect. Their focal distance usually starts from 15-23mm for full frame, 8-15mm for crop frame, and 30-45mm for medium format.

    Wide Angle

    Wide-angle lenses with optics that allow for fitting many elements within the frame with relatively little distortion. Their focal distance is usually 24-35mm for full-frame, 15-25mm for crop frame, and 50-70mm for medium format. They are commonly used in street photography but also in indoor spaces where there is limited distance from the subject. The perspective of wide-angle lenses makes things appear farther apart than they actually are.

The Laowa VE7520MFTAEBLK by Venus Optics is an ultra-high-quality yet compact wide-angle f/2 lens compatible with all Panasonic, Olympus, BlackMagic, DJI cameras with an MFT (m4/3) sensor. In its new Auto Aperture version, it features a CPU chip and motor to fully control the aperture from your camera. Additionally, you can record all EXIF information in your photos. It also allows the activation of the focus magnifier feature for highly accurate focusing.

With a 110° viewing angle and virtually zero distortions, it is an ideal lens for a variety of applications such as:

  • drone use
  • architectural photography
  • landscape photography
  • astrophotography
  • videography with gimbals

It is a manual lens with electronic contacts without autofocus capability. It features a special "Frog Eye" coating on the front elements for protection against water and dust.
