Dentistry is a branch of Medicine where the knowledge of the "specialist" is inextricably linked to the use of simple or more complex tools and other means to achieve the desired therapeutic outcome and restore the patient's problems. However, theoretical knowledge, both fundamental and specialized, along with the plethora of tools available in the "specialist's" arsenal, cannot lead to success if the necessary skills are lacking, which will ensure correct choice and effective and efficient work.

Undoubtedly, theoretical knowledge and critical thinking constitute the most significant part of the training of a dentist, but not its entirety. Familiarity with the aforementioned tools and, primarily, practice in their use ensures the acquisition of skills that are achieved beyond the limits of this book. This handbook serves as a guide and reference book, which can be extremely helpful for students before entering clinics and gaining experience from working with patients.

Each chapter is developed and completed in just two pages, the first of which includes diagrams that encode the necessary information and the second a concise text. Covering a wide range of topics, the books in the series are ideal introductory manuals for each subject area, excellent aids for exams, and convenient reference books for daily clinical practice. The highly successful "At a Glance" series has earned the trust of the international medical community and other healthcare professionals.
