If I were to rate it for the money, OK, it's fair, but 8W!!!! Complete nonsense. It barely puts out 4W with a full battery. Don't expect more for this price. Maybe with a better little antenna, the VHF would work better

For the range, I will simply say that within the city, if it reaches a kilometer, you will be lucky, don't expect much, it's a small wireless. Generally satisfied with the purchase, I had difficulty finding an adapter for the headphones I already had (ordered from eBay) and a replacement for the belt clip (also from eBay). Be very careful, do not force the screw for the belt clip, the tabs will break, mine broke without force, just from its weight. I replaced its screw with a slightly thicker and wood-like one to hold it tighter. Also, even if you replace them, do not force them, I broke the head of one and had to disassemble the wireless to remove it and put a new one, so be careful. I have not tested how waterproof it is (and I don't intend to), it has been exposed to drizzle, but it can withstand drizzle even if it is not waterproof like the uv-9r plus.

In relation to its price (35€ per piece), it is a very good wireless device and it does its job more than enough! It has a powerful speaker and good microphone configuration. Its construction is sturdy with good quality plastic. I estimate the battery to be around 1700mAh, although it says something about 4000, but it has good performance. The menu is the old classic one from Baofeng and can be easily programmed with the CHIRP software (programming cable is needed). One thing I would change is its antenna, I would choose a larger and higher quality one for better transmission and reception. For its price, it is a good value for money wireless device.
