Description

The Nektar SE49 controller keyboards have all the features you need to start creating music with your computer. The SE series is compatible with any MIDI music software, features a full-size velocity-sensitive keyboard, includes all the performance controls you would expect, and even has Nektar DAW control functions. Just plug in the provided USB cable and go: Capture your ideas while they're fresh!

Play

The keys are the most important feature of a keyboard controller. Therefore, we made sure the SE models have keys that are fun and expressive: Their synth-action keys feature 49 or 61 full-size keys that are velocity-sensitive with a defined and consistent feel.

Perform

Whether you want to play a complex solo in the style of Herbie Hancock or you're just trying to make a swinging EDM bass more lively by adding modulation: the large Pitch Bend and Modulation Wheels of the SE will get you there.

Control

Four buttons and a fader with MIDI assignment capability on the left side of the keys make the SE series MIDI controllers even more versatile: Move the keyboard up or down -3/+4 octaves with colorful LED indicators showing the exact status. Or transpose the keys +/- 12 semitones with the transpose buttons just below.

Custom Midi Assignments

Take control even more: Most MIDI software and hardware products have their parameters mapped to so-called MIDI CC messages. This allows you to do cool things like change filter cutoff, shift, bypass effects, or any other parameter to which a MIDI CC has been assigned from a hardware control on your SE49.

Control your Daw

How about having a better workflow without any of those silly things? How about transport control, level mixing, and track selection directly from the SE MIDI controller? Take control of the most important DAW functions with our Nektar DAW Integration software! Of course, the SE models work with any MIDI software, but with the custom Nektar DAW integration, you can do even more: Use the Transpose buttons for track or patch change, always have the volume of the currently selected track mapped to the fader, and rotate the Octave and Transpose buttons to the Play, Stop, Record, and Rewind buttons. How's that for giving your mouse a break?

Simply Plug In: Setup & iOS

The SE MIDI controller keyboards are USB class-compliant and do not require a driver to operate. Installation and connection are easy; simply connect the keyboard to a USB port on your computer. You can also connect an Impact SE49 or SE61 keyboard to an iOS device using Apple's optional USB camera connection kit. A 1/4″ input jack allows you to add a footswitch pedal for sustain or send MIDI messages.

Very good, I bought it to play songs from games (mainly Zelda). It is perfect for a simple user if they already have a program like Synthesia. The only downside is that it is not easy to play scales like do re mi, etc., because the keys are quite high and they go deep down when you press them. Other than that, it is excellent

For its price, it's fine. For the amateur musician who wants to use it to record various sounds on the PC, I think it is the most economical and best solution. It has the basic capabilities and connections, but it performs well. The keys are pressure-sensitive, which means that when you want something to sound loud, you press the key hard... even though it doesn't have a power gradation. It has a normal intensity when each key is pressed with normal force and a strong intensity when pressed hard.
For my amateur use of adding MIDI sounds to my songs, it suited me very well and at a low cost.

For its price, it is the best. It is very lightweight and its construction is obviously plastic but it looks high quality. The buttons have immediate response and it has all the functions that any midi keyboard in this price range has. It has nothing to envy from other keyboards of similar price, definitely value for money.
