Overall, users appreciate the sturdy construction and excellent ankle support, with strong grip on rocky and mountainous trails. After 2 months of use on many terrains (my previous shoe: Hoka).
1. The foot enters a ready-made chamber – the shoe does not adapt to your foot, but the opposite. The advantage is that you avoid sprains, etc., but you don’t feel it fitting perfectly to your foot.
2. Relatively heavy shoe – the Hokas I had before were extremely light.
3. In practice: amazing grip, it sticks everywhere, has nice traction, you don’t slip, it’s very stable and I think if it’s tied well there’s no risk of sprains and such.
HOWEVER, IT HAS A VERY SERIOUS PROBLEM: on wet smooth surfaces (e.g. wet rock, slippery stones, marble with water on it, etc.) it slips terribly to the point of becoming dangerous. And the worst thing is that, precisely because it slips so much, you lose your confidence and can’t walk properly. It is truly a dangerous shoe for such terrain.
I should note that I stepped into a stream and walked in heavy rain with mud underneath, nothing got inside.
If it didn’t have the serious slipping issue, it would be an excellent shoe – now unfortunately it’s excellent for everything else (but relatively heavy), but it’s dangerous (and not just uncomfortable) on slippery surfaces.
Μετά από χρήση 2 μηνών σε πολλά τερρεν (προηγούμενο παπούτσι μου: hoka).
1. το πόδι μπαίνει σε έτοιμο θάλαμο - δεν προσαρμόζεται το παπούτσι στο πόδι σου αλλά το αντίθετο. Εχει το προσόν ότι έτσι γλιτώνεις στραμπούληγμα κλπ / αλλά δεν το νιώθεις να προσαρμόζει τέλεια στο πόδι
2. σχετικώς βαρύ παπούτσι - τα Hoka που είχα πριν ήταν πανάλαφρα.
3. στην πράξη : καταπληκτικό πάτημα, βεντούζωνει παντού, έχει ωραία τριβή , δεν γλιστράς, είναι πολύ σταθερό κ νομίζω αν δεθεί καλά δεν υπάρχει κίνδυνος για στραμπούληγμα κ τέτοια.
ΩΣΤΟΣΟ ΕΧΕΙ ΕΝΑ ΣΟΒΑΡΟΤΑΤΟ ΠΡΟΒΛΗΜΑ: σε βρεγμένο λείο δάπεδο (πχ βρεγμένος βράχος, γλιστερές πέτρες, μάρμαρο με νερό πάνω του κλπ) γλιστράει τραγικά σε βαθμό που γίνεται επικίνδυνο. Και το χειρότερο όλων είναι ότι, ακριβώς επειδή γλιστράει πάρα πολύ, χάνεις την αυτοπεποίθηση σου κ δεν μπορείς να κάνεις σωστή πορεία. Είναι πραγματικά επικίνδυνο παπούτσι για τέτοιο τερρεν.
Να σημειώσω ότι μπήκα σε ρυάκι κ περπάτησα και σε έντονη βροχή με λάσπες κάτω, δεν πέρασε μέσα τίποτα.
Αν δεν ειχε το σοβαρό θέμα με το γλίστρημα θα ήταν άριστο παπούτσι - τώρα δυστυχώς είναι άριστο για όλα τα άλλα ,(αλλά σχετικώς βαρύ), όμως είναι επικίνδυνο (και όχι απλώς άβολο) σε γλιστερές επιφάνειες.
Overall, a very good sturdy boot with all the technology on it.... I switched to these after 20 years (that's how long they lasted) Salomon quest 4D2gtx.
It is a bit narrower (thankfully they also make half sizes) and has a slightly stiffer sole, resulting in it slipping quite a bit more than the Salomon on wet terrain... it hugs the ankle quite well. I will return with further comments in a few months.

είναι λιγο ποιο στενή γραμμή (ευτυχώς βγάζουν και μισά νούμερα) και λιγάκι πιο σκληρή σόλα με αποτέλεσμα να γλυστράει αρκετά περισσότερο απο το Salomon σε βρεγμένο τερέν... αγκαλιάζει αρκετά καλα τον αστράγαλο. θα επιστρέψω με περαιτέρω σχόλιο σε μερικούς μήνες.

Guys, I am not very satisfied with the boot. Although it is great in terms of construction and grips well on wet mud, snow, rocks, and even asphalt, it has a huge negative aspect. The part of the shoe that resembles Alcantara gets wet and the foot gets soaked. I have a big problem because after 20 minutes in very wet areas where the foot goes 5 to 10 centimeters into the water, the sock starts getting wet and the foot freezes. I have tried it in many areas and the same problem occurs. Even when I clean them with water afterwards, they still get wet. It's not an issue with droplets, in fact, they slide easily. The problem is with water that remains in contact for a long time or with water that is pressed from the sponge when cleaning. Even if you rub them with your hands in a river to remove the mud, you still feel the sock getting wet. I can say that I am disappointed because it is amazing as a boot in wet conditions, but the waterproofing fails easily. I will try to solve the problem with a spray to see if it helps a bit and improves the situation. I want to point out that during the bending of the heel (at the end of each step where the heel bends), it has the biggest issue and you feel the water in the sock, as I mentioned before (I will also try changing the sock). I would give it 3 stars, but I bought this specifically for wet technical and non-technical areas (mud, wet rocks, snow, small streams), but the issue with waterproofing has bothered me a lot. The boot is great otherwise and has good grip on wet surfaces.

Το κομμάτι του παπουτσιού που θυμηζει Αλκαντάρα νοτιζει και βρέχει μέσα το πόδι. Έχω πολύ μεγάλο πρόβλημα καθώς μετά από ένα 20λεπτο σε πολύ βρεγμένα κομμάτια που το πόδι μπαίνει μέσα στο νερό 5 και 10 εκατοστά, αρχίζει και βρέχεται μέσα η κάλτσα και παγώνει το πόδι. Το έχω δοκιμάσει σε πολλά κομμάτια και πάλι το ίδιο πρόβλημα. Ακόμα και όταν τα καθάριζα με νερό νότιας μετά από λίγο. Δεν έχει θέμα με τις σταγόνες, ίσα ίσα που γλιστράνε άνετα. Έχει θέμα με το νερό που μένει για πολύ ώρα σε επαφή ή με το νερό που πιέζεται από το σφουγγάρι όταν τα τρίβεις για να καθαρίσουν. Ακόμα και με τα χέρια σε ποτάμι να τα τρίψεις για να φύγουν οι πολλές λάσπες και πάλι αισθάνεσαι η κάλτσα να βρέχεται. Μπορώ να πω πως είμαι απογοητευμένος γιατί στο βρεγμένο είναι καταπληκτικό σαν μποτάκι αλλά η αδιαβραχοποιηση τα παίζει εύκολα. Θα προσπαθήσω να λύσω το πρόβλημα με κάποιο σπρέι μπας και έχει ταλαιπωρηθεί λίγο και βοηθήσω την κατάσταση. Να επισημάνω ότι κατά την διάρκεια της κάμψης της φτέρνας (δηλαδή το τέλος κάθε βήματος εκεί που λυγίζει η φτέρνα) έχει το μεγαλύτερο πρόβλημα και αισθάνεσαι όπως ξανά είπα το νερό στην κάλτσα (θα κοιτάξω να αλλάξω και κάλτσα μπας και). Θα έβαζα 3 αστέρια αλλά το συγκεκριμένο το πήρα για βρεγμένα τεχνικά και μη κομμάτια (λάσπες, πέτρες βρεγμένες, χιόνια, μικρά ποταμάκια - ρυάκια) αλλά το θέμα με την αδιαβραχοποιηση με έχει ταλαιπωρησει πολύ. Το μποτάκι κατά τα άλλα είναιρς και έχει καρφιά στα βρεγμένα. Σου δίνει εκπληκτικό κράτημα.
I have been hiking for 50 years and these boots are simply excellent. I wore them for 4 consecutive days in Crete, 3 days in Olympus, 2 days in Erymanthos, and 2 days in Tymfi during the same period and they didn't bother me at all (choose the right size and proper socks)
