I chose the T.MIX 802 because it was the most affordable mixer with 4 XLR inputs. My use is completely basic, for podcasting. It has all the basic functions that one might need. The amplification is satisfactory for dynamic microphones (Behringer XM1800S), which I was afraid of, but pleasantly surprised. This also applies to inputs 5/6 & 7/8, as I tested the same microphone there as a mono input. The construction is sturdy without causing any concerns about its durability. The knobs have a little play, but that's about it. The lights on the MAIN MIX may be a bit unclear in their indications. Excellent service from THOMANN, delivered to my home in 7 working days.

Just a note that the phantom power is universal. Meaning, it is activated for all channels and you don't have the ability to activate it separately for each one. Something to consider if you plan on using combinations of microphones (condenser with dynamic, even though dynamics theoretically don't have a problem being powered).

Two "issues" that I identified are as follows:

1st, the PAN function works very abruptly after a certain point. If you move it away from the center (either right or left), you start to hear some difference at around +-45 degrees. From there to +-90 degrees, you simply hear that there is variation, meaning that you hear louder from one ear and softer from the other, but without being able to calculate the approximate percentage of this. Somewhere around there, the sound suddenly shifts completely to one ear or the other. The PAN options do not have a linear response. Personally, it doesn't make a difference to me since even if I use PAN, I will put it 100% to the right or left accordingly. In short, it does not respond linearly.

2nd: the power supply of the device is +15V & -15V. Also, the connector is of the GX type with 4 pins. I just mention this because in case of a malfunction, it may be impractical for THOMANN to send another power supply (if they even sell it separately, who knows...). I did not find anything similar in the Greek market after researching. Generally, there are some power supplies that can provide these voltages, but they cost as much as the mixer itself. Just something to keep in mind.

UPDATE 2021-10-26: After testing, I happily discovered that the amplification is more than satisfactory. Without noise and with good sound quality (with the aforementioned microphones, of course). There was also a slight bleed of the voice from each speaker into the adjacent microphones and music from the neighboring room (gain at around 70%). It goes without saying that this can be corrected by reducing the amplification. Overall, I am very satisfied with its performance as a basic mixer.
