Description

Thesis submitted to the Faculty of Law of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. I confess that I did not expect to read such a doctoral dissertation, which fully and thoroughly meets the most demanding scientific standards.

I was amazed to see the accuracy of the sources and the rich bibliography, as well as the unique synthetic ability of the doctor, who with this study contributes greatly to the evolution of Islam, rightfully occupying an honorary place in the pantheon of its legal scholars (fokachá).

The doctor demonstrates in the clearest manner the nonexistence of a fraud, the punishment of stoning for adultery in Islam, for which many people have been unjustly led to death. I wish and hope that the methodology of this dissertation will serve as the unique model upon which future theses intending to address Islam will be based.

I must congratulate the Faculty of Law of the venerable University of Athens for bringing to light this erudite, unique doctoral dissertation and for showcasing such a strong advocate of Islamic Law as Dr. Kyriakos Nikolaou-Patragas. [Excerpt from the prologue]
