  • I bought three bulbs for three lights and they all burned out, the last one after less than an hour a day over a period of one year. It's funny that it says 40,000 hours.

I bought 4 pieces and they were all the same. It lights well, but don’t expect the color to be accurate. It gives off a slight yellow tint, so much so that having other 6000K bulbs makes the difference obvious. Kelvin obviously is not the only criterion for the right color. Anyone who knows about CRI will obviously understand what I mean. It is awful. So take the difference into account.. 2 photos with the same settings.. the light from the ceiling looks yellow while from the spots on the counter it is a clean white. And of course I also have other 6000K bulbs and they are a more correct white. But they were cheap. So that explains it.

I have bought many of these bulbs but I have mixed feelings. They definitely need open-type light fixtures because otherwise they heat up and burn out very quickly!!!
So if you want something for a closed-type fixture, don't even look at them.

Update: 15/02/2022 one burned out (i.e. within 5 months - manufacturing date 07/21)
Update: 04/03/2022 another one burned out in the same type of fixture but in a different room (i.e. within 6 months - manufacturing date 07/21)
Update: 06/07/2022 in one of the two new ones I had installed (manufacturing date 01/22) all the LEDs burned out except one, i.e. within 3 months
Update: 20/07/22 another one burned out (it didn't even last a year - manufacturing date 07/21)
Update: 13/08/22 one of the oldest ones I had installed burned out (it lasted about a year and a half - manufacturing date 08/20)
Update: 16/08/22 the second of the new ones I had installed also burned out (it lasted four months - manufacturing date 01/22)
Update: 30/03/2023 another one of these bulbs burned out so I removed the other one too and replaced them with bulbs of a different type (it lasted less than a year - manufacturing date 01/22)

*I put the two that were left in the same fixture (round with a cover) and installed two new ones in the other one (manufacturing date 01/22). I will update on how they do. Usage is moderate. In this batch - 07/21 - I noticed the plastic cover of the bulb coming loose and the LEDs remaining exposed. Maybe the fixture I have them in is to blame because it is closed and they may be overheating. In other open-type fixtures where I put them, I didn't have such a problem, but they were also different batches.*
