  • I bought this specific monitor mainly for gaming.
I have no particular complaint, except that the stand shakes quite a bit when typing fast, and if your desk is not sturdy enough, but nothing special.
The incline has been quite useful for Netflix and gaming. I have had it for almost 3 months and for its price, it may not be the best, but it is definitely worth the purchase!

    Verified purchase

    Purchased for €269 on 2/2/22 (34" screen).
The truth is that I thought about it a lot before buying it because it is now a 3-year-old model and especially because of the resolution relative to its size, but since I didn't want to go higher in budget, this one was the only option.

In this screen size, you need at least a 2K resolution. Full HD is not enough to say that you don't have pixel issues. But at such a price, there is no chance of finding a 2K resolution, so you accept this small weakness, which is not significant. You have to try hard to see pixelation only in the very small fonts of the desktop icons. You don't notice it anywhere else if you don't try.

Other than that, the screen is good, with a user-friendly menu, very good colors, and of course, a large space to work by opening multiple windows and programs without one covering the other.
As for whether it is eye-friendly or not... I don't have an opinion yet. The truth is that it probably takes some getting used to because, with the first use, I had the impression that it made me a little dizzy. I come from a 24" Full HD LG screen, and this one, due to its ultra-wide aspect ratio, forces my eyes to make a larger left-right movement to see everything, and maybe that takes some getting used to.

The image is clear, though, and it has many settings. Personal - Vivid - HDR - Reading - Cinema... even a special setting for people with color vision problems.
The matte "glass" of the screen does not glare when it is turned on, which helps the eyes and the viewing angle.

When watching movies or playing games, you don't notice any pixelation. I played videos on YouTube in 1080p resolution, and they looked perfect. Moreover, due to the aspect ratio of 21:9, in movies, you don't see those black bars above and below the image, but the entire screen is covered!
So the problem with pixels will only be slightly noticeable in small fonts, as I mentioned above.

The joystick button it has for menu navigation seemed fine to me (unlike others who comment that it is fake), and I am a mechanical engineer. That alone says a lot about what I understand about build quality and materials.
The stand is stable and beautiful. I would have liked height adjustment (not just tilt), but anyway.

The screen was mainly purchased because as a hobby, I have music and I work with audio recording programs (DAW) and sheet music reading programs (notes).
An ultra-wide screen makes everything easier when handling such programs. Fortunately, I don't notice the pixels with these. It's great.

Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase because, as we said, the only thing it lacks is a higher resolution. But considering the prices of screens with higher resolutions of the same size, it's great. The cheapest 2K screen at the moment costs €110 more than this one (and it's Philips... not LG), so at this price, it's the best you can get in a 34" ultra-wide screen.

The most value for money Ultrawide 1080p monitor currently available. Amazing HDR, satisfying 34 inches, and Freesync at 75Hz. I had read that 1080p would make me see pixels like my own head and other nonsense... if you don't play with your nose stuck to the screen - and with so many inches, it's not even possible - you have to have it further away than before, you won't see any pixels or anything. The IPS panel is very good and its brightness is very nice. I went from a 29-inch 1080p ultrawide from LG without HDR but with Freesync at 75Hz to this one, and the difference is tremendous. 29 inches in ultrawide is not enough because the screen loses a lot in height. At 34 inches, it has the same height as a 24-inch wide. Buy it fearlessly. There is no better option for RTS and FPS games. If you also do office work with many parallel open tasks at the same time, it will greatly help you. Especially for programming, which I use it for, I would never go back to a wide or 2 wides like I used to.

    Verified purchase

I was thinking of getting the corresponding 34-inch from Xiaomi, but unfortunately I couldn't find it on sale and I resorted to this one...

After a week of use and having purchased it for around 290, I can confidently say that it is worth its price and more.

    Update 27/1/2021

After using it for a while, I finally fixed the colors as they should be and tried the HDR feature it offers in games, and I was amazed. It should be noted that I have no experience with HDR, but for someone who just wants to try it, I'm sure it is more than just a gimmick. I can say that the screen has left me very satisfied and it is definitely worth it!

The panel is quite good with colors and meets the basic needs of the average user, and it is satisfactory with a 75Hz refresh rate. In programs with a timeline, it is even more impressive, and in gaming, it was tested in games with FOV, the experience is simply different. It has all the settings, and its HDR is a good addition, but nothing remarkable.

    Overall:
A very good monitor that offers many things at a relatively low cost.

However, it is worth noting the negatives it has as a product. Firstly, the button it has to open the monitor's menu is a joystick type, so if something happens to it, you're in trouble, so you need to use it with "care". The tilt of the screen is fine, but the lack of height adjustment is really disappointing for a monitor of its category. (There is a model that has height adjustment and the addition of some standard speakers for around +40€). The lack of speakers is not a big issue for me since I have a 5.1 sound system, but it may disappoint some people. Also, the connectivity is poor, with only an audio jack and 2× HDMI, and the truth is that it would need a DisplayPort.

As a primary monitor, it has come to stay, and I can confidently say that it was a very good investment. I highly recommend it, just be mindful of what you are buying!

    Update 12/2/2021

Guys, the HDR is indeed incredible, although I find it annoying that I have to manually turn it on every time I start my computer. Buy it without hesitation!

  • The most value for money Ultrawide 1080p monitor currently available.

  • I was thinking of getting the corresponding 34-inch from Xiaomi, but unfortunately I couldn't find it on sale and I resorted to this one...
