A book dedicated to wetlands, which are undoubtedly an integral part of our natural and cultural wealth. Wetlands are of interest not only for their natural beauty, due to their geomorphology and rich fauna and flora, but also as water and productive resources, and even as values that are precious to humanity.
It is particularly encouraging that in recent years, specialized scientists have taken on the task of documenting wetlands and conducting studies for their proper utilization, as well as taking care of their protection. Greek wetlands charm us with their beauty and history and deserve the love of all of us.
However, they call for our care and, above all, for "measures" in our actions and interventions, so that the natural balance, which ensures the harmonious coexistence of humans and the world of nature, is not disturbed.
