Description

The topic of the relationship between the State and the Church in Greece has repeatedly occupied scholars since the establishment of the modern Greek state. Despite the multitude of monographs and studies that have been written, it cannot, nonetheless, be considered exhaustive.

Consequently, the present study by Mr. Ioannis Sarmas, a senior judicial official with international credentials, who has also dealt with the same theme in the past, constitutes a truly welcome contribution.

Moreover, as indicated by its subtitle, this study focuses on the issues arising in light of the upcoming revision of the relevant provisions in the forthcoming Constituent Parliament resulting from the upcoming elections on July 7th.

Specifically, the author attempts to answer the question of how Article 3 of the Constitution can be revised consensually.
