If you want to learn tricks, etc., this is not the appropriate skate because its griptape is almost non-existent. It is not impossible to do ollies or kickflips, etc., but it is more difficult than it would be on another skate with better griptape. Also, in my opinion, the board is quite sensitive because in mine, small pieces of wood started to come off within 7-8 months. And one last thing, the design underneath is also very sensitive as it started to tear from the first or second week and quite easily at that. If you want to buy a skate for cruising, it has nice wheels for the road but not for the park, and it goes quite fast, I would say. So if you want to get a skate to learn tricks that require this friction motion on the griptape, I would not recommend it.
