I am truly very sorry because I have been a fan of this particular makeup and a customer of Estee for years. And what I have been experiencing lately when I apply it is that my face feels sticky, as if I have smeared it with honey. Can someone officially say... did you change the formula? What happened? €60 for makeup is not a small amount, but it used to be the best years ago.

I don't know why this particular product is so popular. It may really have very good longevity but I won't find out as I have never managed to wear it. With any base and application method, it creates patches, has no coverage at all, and I feel like I'm wearing something much less quality than what I paid for.

My age is 53. I have been using it since it came out, I have tried countless foundations. There is no more stable foundation, it doesn't "transfer to clothes", full coverage without looking like "plaster", the skin looks both radiant and matte, ideal for all skin types and all ages. The best!!!

What I recently "discovered" (I generally avoided it because with other brands I wanted to try, the result was bad) is how well it blends with sunscreen, so you don't need to have heavy coverage. I guess the sunscreen you mix it with obviously plays a role, but okay. 5 because whatever else I try, I always come back to this... even though it's extremely expensive

The best foundation there is, I have no complaints, everything else falls short compared to Double Wear.

It is not moisturizing at all and dehydrates the skin in seconds, resulting in the products on top (e.g. contour, blush) not sitting at all and peeling off as if being rubbed. I only used it mixed with moisturizer for medium coverage. The skin doesn't breathe at all, in the summer you become an oven.

I wanted to buy a good, quality foundation, but unfortunately this one dries out my skin and gives the impression that I am 10 years older.
And yes, I applied moisturizer underneath and used a sponge to apply it, but the result remained the same.

It spreads perfectly, covers imperfections without weighing down the skin, my face doesn't sweat. This is very important for the summer!

It is the top foundation! It dries on the skin and does not stain or leave a mark! It is very flexible and very covering! It does not leave the skin dull, on the contrary, with a very rich moisturizer underneath (like SPF 50 sunscreen), it leaves an incredible glow on the skin and looks healthy! It does not emphasize wrinkles or pores! It is very fluid and spreads easily! It dries quickly! You don't need concealer unless you have a serious problem around the eyes! It doesn't crack or get cakey, nor does it gather around the nose and chin! You don't need powder to set and dry it, nor to increase its longevity! When I use powder with or without coverage, its appearance doesn't change and it doesn't become heavy! It is the most extreme quality foundation you will find! Excellent shades (I use 0N1 mixed with 1C1 because I made a wrong choice)

For those who say it's heavy, you need to know how to use it. It requires a small amount and can also be mixed with moisturizer or serum for a more natural result like a BB cream while also having long-lasting wear. Also, a good primer or proper skin preparation helps. I use the YSL Touche Éclat Blur Primer and the result is flawless. Therefore, for me personally, it is such a versatile product that it can be used for morning makeup, evening, and even as a concealer with the right technique or mixing. It is the only base product I have, and I don't buy concealer either because it provides great coverage with a small amount and doesn't settle into fine lines with the right technique.

I had been using the blue mix from the same company for years, very covering and thicker, now I wanted to get a lighter formula. This particular product is indeed lighter, I got the porcelain shade but I think I will need a slightly more vibrant shade next time. It is a light product with good coverage but not for intense marks! I apply it with a makeup brush of course, the packaging is not that convenient I would say.

It does not have the coverage it promises. As a person with oily skin, even though it is indicated for such cases, after 2 hours on my face it becomes oily and has an unpleasant feel.

I didn't like it at all. Generally, I like products that don't show on the skin. This one, no matter how small the amount I apply, looks on my face like a mask.

I bought it only to cover up a blemish I have. No matter how much I have used, it never seemed to disappear. I applied a minimal amount and it was not noticeable. I also bought the powder from the same brand and it lasted the entire 8-hour workday. The blemish was not visible at all and no one could tell I was wearing makeup. Apply a little and fill in if necessary.

Good make up but that's it. I have combination to oily skin and always apply serum and sunscreen before make up. The positives are that it does not oxidize and it is buildable. However, after an hour the result is cakey and it seems to "tire" the skin and feel heavy. Therefore, I will not buy it again. There are better make up options at a lower cost. In short, it is not worth the money (which is not little...)

For me, this is the best makeup for oily skin. Unfortunately, I have spent quite a bit of money on makeup from other similar brands (Dior, Lancome, YSL, Nars, MAC) before trying this one. It does not oxidize, it does not alter, and it has very long-lasting wear and very good coverage (although I do not have particularly intense marks/acne/etc). After 10 hours, it produces a bit of oiliness, which is reasonable, but it does not break up around the nose and mouth area, as others did. Before applying it, I use moisturizer and primer.

On the downside, which is a fail on the company's part, it does not have an applicator and you have to buy one separately, if you want, at an extra cost.

Edit and Update: the review refers to the old formula of Double Wear, before the company changed it at the beginning of 2026, as I read the new formula has nothing to do with the old one. What a pity.
