Bodhidharma is considered one of the founders of Chinese Buddhism, particularly the Chan or Zen School. He was born in India but lived and taught in China towards the end of the 5th century AD. It is said that he spent nine years immersed in deep meditation in front of the wall of a cave, near the famous Shaolin Monastery. His name is associated not only with Zen but also with kung fu and even tea. His teaching was unique, and he used the sword of wisdom to free his students from all bonds. In this small book, the words of the great master are presented in a collected form, retaining their undiminished value for the people of the modern world.
