Simply, the cable functions as an antenna, so it's not just about the setup.
Moreover, besides the open data, etc., on mobile phones, it's most likely that the cable does the job, so if it starts to "mess it up" for you, leave the antenna a little "quiet" and slightly change the position of the cable.

To be fair, I got it from the country of manufacture at about the same price as the lowest offered here, which is around 4.5-5 euros. I bought several and we have been satisfied when the signal is lost. If it is positioned correctly, it catches very well. We place it near or on a window and we use it when the image is perfect, not when it gets distorted and blurry. It goes without saying that we point it towards the signal transmitters, otherwise we won't have good results. Its installation is simple, we just need to assemble the pieces and follow the logic or the instructions. It is therefore a temporary solution, I believe, not a permanent one, as after a year of use, one of the ones we constantly had on one of our small TVs was not working properly, so our neighbor put down an expensive branded one they had.

Waste of money, I placed it on a balcony on the first floor (terrace above) and it doesn't catch anything. I would have been better off eating two souvlakis with this money.
