The impressive G lens quality is maintained throughout the zoom range and across the entire image area. All this in a small, portable 5x super-telephoto zoom lens with built-in optical image stabilization.

  • E-mount format, APS-C
  • G super-telephoto lens with 5x zoom
  • High resolution and compact design

Zoom range extension 70 mm to 350 mm

The 70-350 mm zoom range (105-525 mm, 35 mm full-frame equivalent) of this lens offers extensive coverage for a wide variety of subjects, from landscapes to wildlife and more.

Excellent image quality at any focal length

An aspherical element and three ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements with precision optical design suppress aberration throughout the lens’s zoom range, including chromatic aberration that can be problematic at super-telephoto focal lengths. Exceptional sharpness and performance are guaranteed at all focal lengths and across the entire image area.

Superb G Lens Background Defocus (Bokeh)

A circular aperture mechanism highlights the quality of background defocus (bokeh), making use of the shallow depth of field that comes with the super telephoto zoom lens for impressive photos with the smooth, beautiful background defocus (bokeh) of the G lens.

Small, portable super telephoto lens with 5x zoom

Despite the large 5x zoom range, this compact lens weighs only 625 grams, for greater portability of the entire camera system.

Linear XD mechanism in APS-C lens

Sony's XD (extreme dynamic) linear mechanism technology is available in an APS-C lens, delivering top autofocus performance that is fast, accurate, and stable. Combined with real-time autofocus of the new compact APS-C bodies, you get an easy-to-handle, high-performance system for landscapes, wildlife, and much more.

Clear images without blur, no tripod needed

The built-in Optical SteadyShot image stabilization makes it easier to capture blur-free images, especially when shooting at a super-telephoto focal length. [1] SteadyShot off [2] SteadyShot on

Flexible, customizable focus hold button

The focus hold button is conveniently positioned for comfortable control of focus retention. The button can also be customized through the camera's menu, where you can assign other functions, such as selecting the right/left eye, according to your needs.

Quick switch between automatic/manual focus

A focus mode switch AF/MF on the lens makes it easy to quickly switch between automatic and manual focus, responding to changing shooting needs.

Zoom lock switch

Use the zoom lock switch to prevent the lens from extending due to its weight during transport.

Very good lens for long shots, just a little difficulty with focusing far away, it requires a bit of patience. Other than that, the photos are amazing!!

Great purchase, fits all APS-C bodies and for video on A7III. Compact for the zoom range and lightweight. Optically excellent and very sharp at larger apertures (6.3 and above). With the ZV-E10, they make an excellent pair for video, and with the dynamic stabilizer at full zoom, you are over 600mm (equivalent to FF). But mainly during the day, because with a weak body in dark conditions, the AF struggles quite a bit and the ISO goes up very high. The lens stabilization is necessary and satisfactory. In photography, the AF-C is quite good and reliable in good lighting conditions with the corresponding body. For landscapes, portraits with high compression, birds, nature, etc., it is a one-way street; there is nothing else like it on the market for E-mount (price, weight, capabilities). Perhaps with a powerful new technology APS-C Sony, it might work properly, but with the old sensors up to the ZV-E10, it struggles quite a bit and does not provide confidence in photography or even in video, resulting in chasing your subject either AF on/off with responsive focus selection. With FF, it is fine, especially in tracking with minimal hunting. Of course, in a video camera with good lighting like NEX, it behaves slower and more effectively, even supporting tracking mode..! As we have seen, a lens does not do everything, but this one covers many bright scenarios..

The best telephoto for Sony's crop cameras. Excellent sharpness at all focal lengths, even at the widest aperture. Yes, the price is a bit high if you compare it to DSLR, but for mirrorless it is value for money.

Great upgrade compared to the Sony 55-210 lens, both in construction and image quality, where image sharpness is much higher throughout the image. The only negative is the high cost of the lens.

Excellent lens. Although it tends to become my favorite among the ones I have! The OSS is necessary especially when you are at 350mm. Very good color rendering and sharpness. You will get excellent photos during the day. Of course, it is not suitable for low light. Also, very good for macro.
