For access to backup files, it is a good and practical solution, especially if you need something simple and affordable for occasional use.

However, the read/write speeds are quite low to rely on it for regular or demanding use, such as frequent transfers of large files or workflows that require fast data access.

I would recommend it more for backup access and emergency use, rather than as a main card reader for daily work.

For those whose system stops recognizing it, the solution is to go to disk management and change its drive letter while it is connected. This does not mean that it won't mix up the disk identifiers again and you might have to do the same thing again... In any case, it's unacceptable for such a simple device to create this issue...

Very useful gadget. So far, after a few months of use, it does its job for quickly transferring photos from camera and mobile devices.

First use on a PC with Win 11 and in a USB 3.0 port. It is plug and play and does not require the installation of any driver.
I did a test to copy the contents of a folder ~600MB from the PC (30 photos and 5 small videos) to a "Sandisk Ultra SDHC 32GB Class 10 U1 (120MB/s)" card and the copy speed was 30MB/s.
The same folder copied to a Transcend MicroSD 2GB card (part number TS2GUSD) which is much slower than the Sandisk, the copy speed from the PC to the card was 7MB/sec.
For the money, a good and easy adapter

For the money, it's good, you give 5€, but if you try to download a large volume at the same time, it freezes worse than Windows XP. It needs a few files at a time. If someone wants to get their work done quickly, they should get something better. For one or two small files for quick work with volume, it will crash and the computer will freeze...

It turned out to be a dud, and I don't know why, I just woke up one day and it had gone corrupt. Luckily, the SD card I had inside was saved, but this one went to the trash. It did its job for a couple of months and then it gave out.

My husband is crazy about this card reader; he says it's the best he's used in recent years. Daily use for transferring files from the PC to the memory card of the 3D printer.

Flawless product. I got it for just over 2 euros along with some other products from the company and I have already bought another 3. I have one in every PC & laptop and they have replaced some more expensive ones from Kingston. They read everything, quickly and reliably, and are very economical. I have purchased other products from the company and I am impressed with the value for money.

Excellent card reader, I prefer to insert the cards directly into it rather than connecting devices to the computer. Very fast file transfers.

Suddenly it stopped working. The computer recognizes it but it doesn't read the cards. It didn't even last a semester.

It works well and the speeds are good. I didn't have any issues with speed drops, etc. that are mentioned.
