The four character types—Bard, Fighter, Practitioner, and Rogue—each have 60 to 70 skills, which unlock a total of 21 unique classes. The party starts with one character and can be expanded with new heroes that you create or recruit. The settings allow for options such as saving anywhere, a mini-map, and route markers, while the song “Strugglers' Lament” bypasses mandatory puzzles. The adventure features cities, dungeons, hills, forests, and frozen lands, as well as ancient elven weapons whose secrets are revealed through careful examination.
