For many years, I have thought about writing a book through whose pages my children can learn about the difficulties that our generation faced, standing on the foundation of two world wars to survive.

Difficult years, especially for us Greeks from Asia Minor, who were uprooted from the land of our ancestors and came as refugees to take root in the free homeland, which embraced us lovingly, but beyond the affection, it could do nothing else for us, because it was poor as well.
