If a piece of legislation in European procedural law has not yet received the recognition it deserves in practice, it is undoubtedly Regulation (EC) 861/2007 establishing a European Small Claims Procedure.

The practical treatment it has received so far is inversely proportional to its substantive significance. This Regulation introduces an extremely flexible procedure, easily accessible even to non-lawyers, which leads directly to the issuance of an enforceable title for the collection of low-value debts, even for disputed claims.

The main goal of the book is to provide closer information to legal practitioners about the sometimes extremely innovative provisions of the European Small Claims Procedure and to seek the most appropriate solutions for the transfer of these regulations to the domestic procedural reality.
