Indeed, it is terrible, in my opinion it measures correctly but you can't hear it at all. It has a small screen, no light, no memory so you can't see what you measured before, and its cylindrical shape is definitely not convenient to leave it somewhere, you have to be careful. Don't buy it, I had one for years.

It is the only thermometer on the market that is cylindrical, both the device and its case, and it rolls and falls wherever you leave it. The battery can be CHANGED and I have done it, it is very easy.
Carefully remove the rubber plug/button (you will need something with a very fine tip)
Pull the board slightly out and you will see a very small cover.
Remove it and you will see the battery.

The battery can be replaced by removing the rubber plug. Carefully remove the board with the thin cables and remove the battery cover. It was replaced with an AG3 392 and everything is fine. I did not put the battery cover back during assembly, but everything is fine.

Unfortunately, it's not worth it. The measurements are slow, the sound indication is very low, the battery doesn't change, it doesn't have a light, it's not fast, it doesn't always respond to commands for new measurements, it often turns off on its own while waiting to measure temperature, it's cylindrical so it slips on surfaces and falls down, and as for the reliability of the measurements, the conclusions are mixed... Overall, a disappointment.

If you take 5 measurements, all 5 will be different. I remember one time I felt bad and used it, and it showed that I had a fever of 38+. Then, after 10 minutes when I used it again, it showed hypothermia. Of course, it is cheap so I didn't have high expectations.

We have had this thermometer for 10 years without the battery running out. The measurements are reliable, I don't know what others write, but this is my experience with this product

I have the pink one for 7 years now. I have bought over 10 similar digital ones over time. None of them are as accurate and durable. Clearly, there are other options at different prices and none can compare in reliability to the mercury one, but out of all the available options at the pharmacy, this is the one we consistently prefer. Additionally, it has survived countless falls in the hands of a child!

Although it is a well-known brand, it is not worth even these few bucks... The one time I needed it, the battery was dead and there is no way to replace it... Since it is disposable, I thought I should open it, maybe I can change the battery or at least dispose of it properly... The battery is stuck and needs to be broken to be thrown away correctly... The company says it is to prevent children from swallowing it... As if a parent doesn't have something else to give to their child and will give them a thermometer or won't be present during the measurement... Utterly unacceptable... The house needs a reliable thermometer for emergencies, not a useless disposable product...

For 2.5 euros when pharmacies ask for 10 euros, it's a great deal. It's a practical, fast, and accurate thermometer. I measured my temperature twice and there was no deviation. It's definitely value for money. The only downside is that I haven't looked into how to replace the battery yet, but for 2.5 euros, you don't really care, I believe

-The electronic ones either cost 2€ or 5€ or 60€, they show whatever they want. None of them are like the mercury one (But be careful not to break it, mercury is a radioactive carcinogenic material, that's why they have withdrawn them from the market)

- Compared to a good mercury thermometer (and not all of them are reliable), instead of showing 36.6, it shows 36.1, measured on 3 different people. However, at 37.3 it shows 37.2.
- It requires 5 seconds under the armpit, not 1. It is mentioned in the instructions, but it is advertised as a quick one that applies to the mouth.
- Although it is new, it often turns off (and when turned on again, it shows random numbers until it stabilizes) and it consumes a lot of your time overall.

Very good thermometer, with reliable measurements, 60 seconds very cheap, (4.5 euros). It's worth its money. Now, if you want even faster, we go to another price category
