    The sound from the bell is minimal, the train has to pass EXACTLY over the switch, otherwise if it just touches it, nothing can be heard.
    If you shake the bell by itself, it sounds ok, but if the train moves the switch, you might or might not hear it.
    As a decoration, it is nice, but in terms of function, "the train passes - the bell rings" is not very successful...
