Description

I have a piece of advice for those who are wavering on the faltering path of Asian mysticism and meditation, even if it is limited to a simple walk to the corresponding shelves of esotericism in their local bookstore: Whoever among them has recognized their personal weakness and shortcoming is ready to take up the Cross of Jesus, to be liberated from their sin, the betrayal of God's love. It is a decision that springs from a deep need and leads the person through repentance directly into the forgiving and loving embrace of Jesus.

This path is not convenient and comfortable, no, but it is the greatest adventure that a person can experience, especially with the prospect of victory and the assurance of eternal life. "No one comes to the Father except through me," says Christ (John 14:6). No founder of any religion has ever proclaimed that he is the one and only God. Even if this exclusive claim of Jesus stands in the throats of most of our contemporaries as intolerant, condescending, and unacceptable, "...a message offensive to the Jews and foolishness to the Gentiles" (1 Cor. 1:23), it remains unshakably true.

For humanity that suffers and hurts, there is only one help: Jesus Christ, who can do all things. There is only one thing He cannot do, and that is to enter your heart when you do not want Him to. A book that demystifies the modern "Trojan horses" of Asian mysticism and the faulty paths of human pursuits, revealing the safe way to self-knowledge and truth: the person of the Lord Jesus Christ, through the light of Orthodox faith and the teachings of the Church Fathers.
