The Gospels from the very beginning surprise with their unique narrative form. Although they leave large areas of Jesus' biography in the shadow, they simultaneously bring to light several details from his daily life and present his teachings often in an allegorical way.
The enormous interest of the working method used by Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov is that he considers these short texts, whether true or symbolic, to be equally descriptions of events as well as psychological states. The ten virgins invited to the bridegroom's wedding, the rich landowner who asks his steward for an account of his wealth management, the owner who goes to hire workers for his estate, the terrified disciples awakened by the storm who wake Jesus who had fallen asleep in the boat, but also the question addressed to Jesus about whether taxes should be paid to Caesar... all these are stripped of their occasional, picturesque and illustrative character, therefore external and limited, to appear in their essence as enduring truths of our inner life, in the depths of which the competitive forces of the spiritual and material world meet and reconcile.
