  • I have it for about 2.5 years. It was used for 1 year on a Samsung tablet for ethernet, wired keyboard, and mouse. Awesome, it didn't heat up at all, the PD didn't work because the tablet didn't support it. Then it has been used daily on a Macbook Air M1 for 1 and a half years (and some months). At first everything was perfect, until it started giving me some issues with HDMI. I realized that the problem lies in the type C connection where it has loosened a bit (moves a little back and forth) but the only issue is with HDMI, as soon as it moves slightly the screen goes black. Otherwise, it is connected all day long to the Macbook with a monitor, USB stick, another hub that connects to 5 more ports for a keyboard, mouse, microphone, and a second USB stick, and always connected to Ethernet. The network speed is very good. It may heat up quite a bit, but it has not caused me any problems, neither when I use it without a monitor when I work as a DJ, nor at the university where I have connected a Maxtor 2tb HDD and a SanDisk 256gb USB stick, nor at home with the monitor and everything I mentioned above (except for the issue with the type C). Otherwise, it's a great value for money because it's metallic, with a tough cable to withstand everything you connect to it (and withstand the 30-watt Power Delivery for the MacBook). I recommend it.

    update 26/3/24

It's not worth it anymore, after years of daily use it has become bad, on one side it barely works in the port and when you connect it from the other side the Internet cuts out occasionally, the external USB hub I connect doesn't work, the mouse doesn't work with power, the keyboard works with difficulty and the screen turns off every half hour and doesn't turn back on. It's not worth it as much anymore

Purchased in April 2021 and broke in October 2021.
Specifically, the ethernet stopped working, the rest currently work.
If it had a mini jack port for audio, it would be better. As for power, it's not even worth discussing, it would overheat, it already raises the temperature a bit with the existing ports. In general, and from what I see from other comments, it is not a quality construction because eventually some port will break.

    Update from 05/2023:
I tried the ethernet again and it started working until today.

I have also bought this specific product, I don't have time for it either and lately it has been presenting problems with HDMI disconnections that I connect to the screen.

Let me start with the stability aspect.
On a laptop, if I use all the ports, the power supply is not sufficient and there is an issue.
It constantly disconnects when it is loaded.
Personally, I use it for my mobile phone and tablet. There is the possibility to charge your device at the same time you use all the HDMI, Ethernet ports, as well as the USB mouse and keyboard.
As for the speed, it functions like a USB 3.
Connected via Ethernet to my mobile phone or tablet, it gives me an upload and download speed of 120 Mbps.

Although the product is very good and its construction is excellent, I can't rate it higher than mediocre. The reason is that the HDMI port doesn't work. I'm not sure if it's a hardware or software issue.

    +Very good build quality (aluminum+plastic)
    +Uses all ports (HDMI+ethernet+2xUSB)
    HDMI: for 29-inch ultrawide
    USB wired keyboard
    USB wireless mouse
    ethernet: RJ45
+I don't use the PD as Dell has its own charger
+Does what it says at the lowest possible cost on the market
-I would like 1-2 more USB ports (there is the https://www.skroutz.gr/s/19885270/Verbatim-USB-C-Dock.html but it also has an SD reader and it increases in size too much)
