The author has been involved for many years with psychopathology, both from the perspective of the clinician and from the perspectives of the researcher and the theorist of methodology and theory of science. 

This book, therefore, combines all these aspects. Based on the long experience he has gained with medical students and psychiatric residents, he defines and describes the "body" of Clinical Psychopathology in the various areas of mental functions. For reasons of connection with the interpretative theories of psychopathology, he often critically presents the various theoretical explanations, as well as the research findings that explain the psychopathological phenomena.
