Based on the Question Bank of the E.O.P.P.E.P. and the books of the ADULT EDUCATION series published by METAIXMIO, whose scientific supervisor is Alexis Kokkos. This book aims to support and facilitate the acquisition of the necessary knowledge and skills required for the certification of educational adequacy but also for the scientific formation of an Adult Educator.
According to the “Unified Certification System of the educational adequacy of Adult Educators VET,” which is organized and managed by the National Organization for the Certification of Qualifications and Vocational Guidance (E.O.P.P.E.P.), the certification of the educational adequacy of prospective Adult Educators includes written exams for assessing their knowledge and skills in the design, organization, and implementation of teaching activities based on adult learning theories, educational policies, the socio-economic context, and the needs of the target population, as well as the essential characteristics of the group of learners.
The book provides the main directions for studying these topics with selected excerpts from the Adult Education series, published by METAIXMIO. The excerpts have been chosen based on their direct relevance to the content of the thematic sections of the E.O.P.P.E.P. Question Bank and the indicative answers contained therein.
The thematic sections are organized into subsections to facilitate the understanding of the corresponding educational material, while also being enriched with additional elements to adequately cover the knowledge and skills required for certification. Moreover, since the certification process involves designing and presenting a micro-teaching session in combination with a corresponding oral examination, the Guide is supplemented by a relevant section, which describes the practical application of designing and implementing a micro-teaching session.
