Description

Description

The Science of Education, like most of the Educational Sciences that support it, was founded and recognized during the previous century. Early Childhood and Primary Education, as subfields - albeit fundamental - of this scientific domain developed almost concurrently, following a long evolutionary path that began two centuries earlier.

This path is briefly presented in the book titled "Early Childhood and Primary Education" with the subtitle "Communicative Dimensions of the Educational Process", which perceives the relationship between Pedagogy and Communication in early childhood and primary education specifically as a relationship of interaction, as an archetypal Pedagogical Relationship.

The book develops chapters that, beyond a concise historical evolution of the Science of Education and its application framework in modern education, address theoretical approaches and communication models, the development of their verbal and non-verbal dimensions, and their role in shaping interpersonal relationships, as it is outlined across the entire spectrum of Pedagogical Communication among educators, students, and parents.

Additionally, chapters are developed that focus on the material and human factors shaping the communicative framework in school units, emphasizing intra-school, teaching, and communicative activities, the problems and communication disruptions, and their pedagogical handling.

This book is extremely useful for students studying the Educational Sciences, particularly those attending Pedagogical Departments. It is beneficial for educators at all levels of education, for parents, and for anyone interested in delving into issues of Pedagogy and Communication. It is of interest to professionals involved in public relations, economic activities, in service sectors, and generally, anyone interested in improving their communicative, social, and teaching skills.
